Looks like Ruff Ryders' Anthem has a shot to return to the Hot 100 this week.
For comparison, here's where the next-highest DMX tracks are expected to appear on RS, along with their units:
#13 X Gon' Give It To Ya - 59.3K units #15 Party Up (Up In Here) - 56.2K units #30 Slippin' - 30.5K units
EDIT: In doing some number-crunching with the TOTC points calculator, it looks like Ruff Ryders' Anthem might just miss the #50 threshold. The calculator puts it with around 90-95 points, or around #51-55, which will not be helped by Polo G's and Doja's big debuts and Taylor's potential album bomb.

Still hoping for an ONJ feature on these Physical-inspired songs. After all, this fall marks its 40th Anniversary , which kinda blows my mind.

What is the weakest digital song sales #1?
We wonβt have it this week, obviously, but I canβt find out what it is and I assume one of our chart nerds will know

There's nothing false about it. Play both songs back to back and you'll hear what I'm referring to and if you don't then that's okay. I didnβt believe it, but thereβs something about them thatβs eerily similar. I think it has to be the flow, because they definitely have different vibes. It's not the flow lol. The similarity is in the production. They share a similar bassline pattern. That's really just it but it's what stuck out to me as soon as I heard the song.

^Dynamite for the chart dated 11/14/2020 with 12k. Also shared by Savage on the 6/20/2020 chart. Then again, they never gave the final figure for LGO's sales when it was #1 on the 12/19/2020 chart. It's certainly possible that the figure could have been less than 12k, so that could be the true record holder.

I don't know where it should be featured on the board, but definitely something to be considered. I was lurking on Ariana's "My Everything" thread a while back and someone was hoping "Love Me Harder" underperformed and added a snide side comment - 'can The Weeknd ever see pop success? - methinks not'. No explanation needed, really π

Also in football/soccer this season : Jesse Lingard doing excellently at West Ham even though literally everyone called him finished and clowned West Ham for getting him in on loan (and said that he wasnβt gonna have any goal contributions, he has over 10 goal contributions in 2 months), Also by extension West Ham as a whole, most people thought that they were gonna barely survive or get relegated, and now they look likely to play in the Champions League next season.

Wake Me Up! was allowed to re-enter after Avicii's death at #34 even though it had already charted for 53 weeks in the Hot 100 and should technically have been subject to the top 25 recurrency rule.

9(-1) The Weeknd - Blinding Lights 79.22(-1.45) -
This might finally send Blinding Lights outside of the Top 10 of the Hot 100. If so, this would be the end of an era.
The last Top 10 without either Blinding Lights or Mood was the 2/22/2020 chart:
1 The Box - Roddy Ricch (6th of 11 weeks at #1) 2 Life Is Good - Future feat. Drake 3 Circles - Post Malone 4 Memories - Maroon 5 5 Dance Monkey - Tones & I 6 Don't Start Now - Dua Lipa 7 Roxanne - Arizona Zervas 8 Someone You Loved - Lewis Capaldi 9 10,000 Hours - Dan + Shay feat. Justin Bieber 10 everything i wanted - Billie Eilish
The last Top 10 without Circles, Blinding Lights, or Mood was the 9/7/2019 chart:
1 Truth Hurts - Lizzo (1st of 7 weeks at #1) 2 SeΓ±orita - Shawn Mendes & Camila Cabello 3 bad guy - Billie Eilish 4 You Need To Calm Down - Taylor Swift 5 Old Town Road - Lil Nas X feat. Billy Ray Cyrus 6 Ran$om - Lil Tecca 7 No Guidance - Chris Brown feat. Drake 8 Talk - Khalid 9 I Don't Care - Ed Sheeran & Justin Bieber 10 Lover - Taylor Swift

I really hope we don't get to the point where we're calling songs like WAP and Montero "inorganic" hits just because they caused controversy. Let's not get too elitist. I mean you could argue controversy was a major factor in Drivers Licenses' success and I know we're not dumb enough to call that inorganic.

Montero is already back to #1 on itunes and several other versions of the song have jumped back into the top 100. Apple music is glitching with it showing 2 versions of the song, but you can prolly assume it's gotten some gains as a result. Guess he's gonna be disappointed when his weird tactic still wont help his song go #1, rapstar is still going strong and is basically locked for #1. Don't see it going #1 again (unless he drops a remix which knowing him is inevitable) b/c it will prolly be between rapstar, LTDO or peaches. He already went #1, I can't imagine he's personally worried about it going #1 again. Considering the fact that he pulled so many gimmicks to stay #1 with OTR, it's very possible. He even said on twitter how he's tryna go back to #1 this week.

Yeah, Iβm not sure how βorganicβ hits came to mean popularity through βword-of-mouthβ only as if all songs are capable of being a hit without any sort of promotion, which has now somehow become known as a βgimmickβ or βstunt.β
