Hoping this is better than the previous songs he released from side A. Not that “Want It Again” and “Growing Up” are bad, I just don’t think they’re radio single material. He needs something good that can follow up the last smash “What’s Your Country Song”.

I really like Growing Up, so was hoping that would be the follow-up single. But excited for this!

I mean Thomas Rhett is no Luke Combs but I am pretty sure he could release anything and as long as it is not polarizing like a "Vacation" and it would at least get into the Top 5 at least.

I mean saying they aren't radio single material I feel like is saying without saying the actual words that those songs won't be a hit/shouldn't be radio singles. No offense.

He's 3/3 for me so far from the album, so I'm very excited to hear this! I would enjoy seeing "Want It Again" or "Growing Up" as singles, so I'm hoping this one will be at least as good as those two.

Yeah, this one is really good. Slightly prefer Growing Up or the previous single, but still happy for this choice.

Holy fiddle. And the honesty and self-reflection in those lyrics.
I mean I knew the title but I kind of thought it was gonna be a “yeah I’m country (but this song is not)” song. Hope radio plays this to #1.

I don't necessarily relate to this on a personal level (I love country music but I don't really think I AM country), but this one sounds like a Song of the Year type of hit for him. I think this is going to be massive at the format.
Most people here don't like his output (which I don't really get) but I expect most to like this. He has become so good at relating his personal experiences and making them relatable to a wide audience.

It's a bit curious to hear about how "it feels good to be country again" from the guy who tried to disrupt country music multiple times, (still can't forgive him for releasing the horrible "Vacation" to country radio). Anyway, credits to him for trying to improve his music's quality over the years.
This is very good and probably my favorite TR single since "Marry Me". The fiddle is awesome. Hope it does well!

I typically loathe "I'm Country" type songs and while this song does fit into that category, it also somehow steers away from that lyrically and becomes more of a "I'm Home" type song after the hunting/fishing reference in the first part of the first verse. The Nashville/LA juxtaposition is very reminiscent of "la" by Kelsea Ballerini. Lyrically, I think I prefer "Want It Again" and "Growing Up" at the moment, but there's something infectious about the melody and the instrumentation is superb (that FIDDLE in the instrumental breakdown!). Another great song from Thomas. Not near the top of his discography for me (at least not yet), but this'll be another big hit for him!

Wow. I really like this. It feels honest. I hope radio plays it, even though it has a fiddle.

Woah this is excellent and has got to be his most country sounding single to date.

Man I knew Rhett had it in him to make a well thought out, well written "real" country song. Very happy with this, and I agree it has song of the year potential. Nice job TR.

Well after hearing this beauty (this FIDDLE tho!!!!), this has got to be the most excited I've ever been for a Thomas Rhett album. I ADORE this song and think it's going to be massive at country radio!

I ADORE this song and think it's going to be massive at country radio! When the guitars and fiddle kick in right before the second chorus the song really takes off. Always enjoyed TR's story and evolution within the industry; always rooting for him.

This was exactly my thought. A couple years ago he was saying music should not be put into a genre box, and now that the pendulum has swung back in the other direction he wants to be "country again". This is not to say that this is a bad song, but he tried for years to drag the genre away from it's roots. I think he is a good songwriter, I just find this scenario annoying.

I thought "What's Your Country Song" was a really nice step in the right direction for him but wow, this is even better. I really enjoy this one.

Only falling to #11 on the Bubbling Under, and I can see it riding the album boost to making the Hot 100 proper. Glad to see this doing decently, it's pretty good.
