Let's not overthink this: Leave the Door Open is returning to #1 on the 5/15 chart. That much, I can guarantee. The real question is which of those other songs will end up being #2.

LTDO seems to be slowing down on radio except on Urban so dunno about it being "a guaranteed #1"

Billie #1, with 2.089 million on Spotify, no Khaled in top ten (Baby Keem/Travis Scott is the biggest NE actually) Good start for full day streaming! Speaks a lot of Billie's star power now

It will be pretty strange if the Bruno Mars song is number one again. The songβs Spotify is down by approximately 40,000 Friday to Friday, and the streaming is already down 8% with Hits. That means that the streaming is going to be down again. On the other hand, Kiss Me More is up by 300,000 on Spotify, and the song is top ten yet surging on Apple Music amidst the Khaled project having a bunch of the top positions

Even if LTDO is slowing down on radio, it is still #1 and has a wide advantage over the other songs on the metric. Don't forget that LTDO still has the iTunes discount, and the rest of the songs do not.
Peaches is closing the gap on LTDO on radio, but I think Justin needs to put the iTunes discount for it to challenge LTDO for #1 for this charting week. SYT, especially the remix, has fallen on iTunes since the discount was removed. (If Abel's team was really going for 2 weeks at the top, why would they remove the discount on SYT and keep it on Earned It?) Billie's new single on iTunes is falling, and she probably needs to put on the discount for it to have a chance at #1. I can see Kiss Me More eventually going to #1 (possibly with a remix), but I think #4 or #5 seems reasonable for the 5/15 chart.
My prediction:
1. LTDO 2. Peaches 3. Save Your Tears 4. Your Power 5. Kiss Me More

As long as it's not the boring Billie Eilish song we're happy!

Billie's debut nos are mainly due to extensive playlisting & promo (interscope is really spending alot; she's #1 in almost all playlists) PS: all her singles post badguy burnt real fast There is some truth to this but I think bad guy really set the precedence for some unrealistic commercial expectations with her singles. I've never and still don't view her as a hitmaker. I don't think I can point to 5 songs in her entire discography so far that are actual radio-friendly bops. I appreciate that she doesn't shoot for hits with her songs. She makes the music she wants to make and most of her songs really aren't tailored to be smash hits on the charts. I get that she's a huge mainstream star now and that comes with commercial expectations but I personally only have any commercial expectations for her albums. So far so good, she seems like the kind of artist whose albums will serve longevity. Pair that along with her being a viable arena touring act already and it seems like she'll be here for as long as she wants. There is not much truth to this actually, as Everything I Wanted and Therefore I Am went on to be pretty sizable hits (the latter maybe not as much as the former, but after falling from its #2 peak, it rebounded into the top 15 for a while, so it was sizable). I agree that she leans slightly more on being more of an album artist, but let's not act like she and her label don't craft a few songs from her quirky brand of pop meant to be big radio hits that will carry the album. It definitely seems like TIA was meant to be such a song, and maybe after it underperformed slightly, they're hoping for Your Power to do the trick, although I do kind of agree that with this particular song, it doesn't sound like it was crafted to be an immediate radio jam, so maybe they're going more with her "natural style" with this and aren't exactly expecting big opening numbers, but it had a good couple opening days on Spotify, so still too early to tell.

I hope itβs βPeachesβ that returns to #1. It has a combination of good airplay and streams and more deserving of getting more weeks at the top. LTDO is a radio monster but itβs streams are a little underwhelming.
I also think we are underestimating βKiss Me Moreβ a bit. Despite dropping to #2 on spotify, it has reached its highest peak in streaming yet. It might not hit #1 on this week but itβs coming for #1 at some point in May.

Off topic but can we talk about Life Is Good and its sudden drop in Youtube views? I never understood how it managed to get so many Youtube views and this makes it even more suspicious. The song that was consistently getting over 3M views a day for months should not have such a huge drop. Very weird. Also the song is eligible for Diamond:

I think it will absolutely go to #1 at some point, it's just a question of whether they can sneak in a week up there before BTS swoops in and potentially competes for that SOTS crown.

It was ironic enough the pandemic happened after "Life Is Good" dropped, maybe the YouTube freefall is signaling the pandemic decline hehe.

It's another English-language single, and I'm sure they'll put out several remixes upon release. And BTS' stans have proven wih Dynamite that they can keep a song around at the top to break whatever record(s) they desire, even when other categories don't quite compensate. EDIT: Removed the part about Scooter Braun, I must gave gotten some wires crossed in my head there.

It's pretty obvious some weird algorithm glitch chose Life Is Good to obsessively recommend to people and YouTube dragged their feet on fixing it. It's funny that it's happening now though, I expected it to just keep racking up 3M views per day for the next five years.

Take away the bulk of it's US YouTube streams and it has still moved 6-7M units in the US. If there's anything fishy going on, that's entirely on YouTube. Don't they claim to have systems in place to detect streams by bots and fake/bought streams? The only thing I can point to is that YouTube's algorithm favored Life Is Good for a time (like it's done with several other music videos in the past), but for some reason, people only have an issue when it's a rap video being favored. I couldn't escape Shape of You/Despacito on YouTube in 2017 because of vicious recommendations/autoplay and in 2018 the same thing happened with Perfect/Girls Like You, so much so that I turned off my autoplay and stopped using YouTube as much but not once did I see anyone on this site or anywhere else make any complaints. I don't even care. Y'all have been on this since last year and I've discussed this very topic enough times to know I have nothing else to say on it.

I'm guessing BTS fans have enough money saved up to have their next single remain at #1 for 10+ weeks via strictly digital sales if that's what it takes.

It's bad enough that featurings have become so overdone in the last several years- but these tacking hot-of-the-moment acts onto "remixes"? Ugh. It happened every so often before streaming took off, but it's gotten too much in the last year.
Having said that, it's marketing, and even if it yields a chart-topping result for even a week, it's still a chart topper. Not a longevity chart topper for the featured act, if only credited for a week or so, but still.

Say So Remix, 34+35 remix, and now Save Your Tears (?) all got credited despite the remix not apporting to most part of the overall points. Why didn't they do this for Savage remix's first week too? if the remix gave the song a huge increase in points? Also, not trying to shade anyone but why are all those undeserved credited remixes from Republic Records artists? all managed by Scooter Braun.
