Dua Lipa is 100% a bigger artist than J Cole, since non-United States countries do in fact exist.Β But we only discuss the Hot 100 in these threads, which just so happens to be a US-based chart. Also, the US is by far the biggest music market so one of the biggest artists in that market wouldn't need to also be dominant in other markets to be one of the biggest artists in the world.

Imo, he's not bigger than Dua Lipa Imo, he's not bigger than Dua Lipa atm? Dua is def bigger but J Cole has been around a decade so all time goes to him I feel Dua Lipa is not and has never been as big as J. Cole, let alone bigger

Why are people bringing up Levitating for number one by the way? It is not surpassing Save Your Tears, Peaches or Leave the Door Open, and Kiss Me More is probably going to be ahead of it by the week beginning May 21st. Astronaut in the Ocean is probably going to be above it with the remix also

But this thread is about US success (mostly). Anyway, seems that the Coldplay single isn't doing wonders on AM. Quite interesting to see where it goes on Spotify. It is about American success entirely since the Hot 100 is an American chart

doubt that levitating can go #1, itβs still not beating the current top songs in most of the metrics. and as much as i do love the song, iβd much rather have a fresh song take the top spot.
cole isnβt going #1 either for now, but iβm curious to see what damage his album drop does

Astronaut in the Ocean is probably going to be above it with the remix also they most likely mean Year End number one. And if things stay consistent for it, it should be number one overall just because it's increasing and everything else ahead of it has stagnated or decreasing. The only big hits that can catch up are most likely Leave The Door Open and Save Your Tears.

Billboard super early prediction: J. Cole - Top 10 Trippie x Carti - Top 30 Bebe Rexha - better mistakes - #1 (>700 points) Tbh I think Bebe will get lucky to even debut at #10. Expectations debuted at #13 and this time, she doesn't even have a big single like Meant to Be attached to it (not to mention, only one of her lead singles has even charted). Also having listened to all of the big name hip-hop releases yesterday, Saweetie has the best song

I can't @ this J. Cole slander π Interlude is already #1 on AM The hype is real. The fact that this interlude opened up more with more streams than his two releases last year. Imagine if he'd released an actual song instead of this random 2 minute interlude. ETA: "Wet Dreamz" and "Work Out" have re-entered the US Spotify Chart. 46. "No Role Modelz" - 426,594 89. "MIDDLE CHILD" - 313,696 131. "Work Out" - 257,286 136. "Wet Dreamz" - 253,414

I say Coldplay's numbers are good, they haven't been relevant in US since ages. They had 2 top 20 hits in 2016, hasnβt been that long. 5 years is a long time in the music climate.
