Ava Max - "Everytime I Cry"

It's so sad that this doesn't seem to be resonating. It might be the best thing I've heard from her. I wasn't expecting it to do anything in the US considering how "My Head & My Heart" which share the house sound with this song did but I thought it would fare better in Europe. However, if they're only planning for it to be a promo song then I'm fine with that. Promoting songs cost a lot of money so hopefully they're saving that for the next song that's going to get a push.

This came and went, and most people didn't even notice. I think it's time to move on from the album and drop something fresh that's not just a one-off tacked on to an already old project.

So I just watched the video and I’m a bit… disappointed? 

The video came off to me as somewhat boring and cheap. I feel like it needed dancers or just a more planned out storyline.

I don't think it looks cheap, I actually like it better than MH&MH, song AND video-wise. It's a shame it flopped.

While EveryTime I Cry is doing... literally nothing in the US or UK and we all probably wait for something new to come, it reached a new peak of #10 in Poland, becoming Ava's 9th top 10 hit here. Basically, every single of hers that's been sent to Polish radio stations peaked in the top 10.

Same. I keep listening to tracks from her album, but forget this exists.

Call Me Tonight should have gotten a global push over whatever space they tried to fill with this.

It's not a bad song whatsoever, but it's very throwaway and filler-y. At this stage of her career she needs something more memorable instead of something that sounds like the sixth single you release to Poland and France until your next album is ready. The combination of K&Qs and the initial hype of MH&MH made me believe she was finally turning into a reliable hitmaker but...

Ima disagree and say this is one of her best songs, perhaps even her very best tbh.

The production is just so upbeat, crisp, and catchy,the hook like always is strong, and it lacks the few kinda cringy lyrics that make there way into her other songs.

Up there with My Head & My Heart as her best songs and kudos to her for not even making use of a sample with this one.
