When did Old Dominion get switched from RCA to Arista as part of Sony Music Nashville? That was a surprise to many people within radio too. I didn't even realize until someone pointed it out to me lol. This is the first single as part of the Arista imprint. Well Sony is a little crowded at the moment but to me it felt like RCA had most of their acts that had already broken in at radio (Chris, Kane, Miranda, Niko and Old Dominion) so maybe they just wanted to balance out what each imprint had in those regards. Arista only had Matt Stell who has really had success recently. Ryan Hurd who also just moved from RCA is seeing some success. Brad Paisley and LANco had hits but nothing recently so I didn't include them. All of Arista's 2 newer artists haven't really shown much potential (Adam Doleac, Robert Counts). Seaforth also moved over to Arista for their next single. Poor Rachel Wammack is still stuck at RCA with nothing happening since 2018

I am shocked the label hasn't at least tried another song with her or at least something with her. Just the occasional one off release and a guess spot on a Rascal Flatts the past couple of years.

This song is definetly different, but even though something inside of me wants to dislike it, I find myself really enjoying it. It's catchy!

This did pretty well on the rolling chart this morning considering the opening day hourly spins were cycled out. Getting countdown spins and cohosting CCUSA this weekend, should help offset spin losses from the opening days as well.

They were 2nd most added in the same week with their Caitlyn Smith collaboration, too.

Didn't see this posted on here, but saw it on CMT just now, and it premiered 2 weeks ago.

And now, outside of Paisley, they’re the “biggest” acts on that label (which is a promo label at this point). Sony Music Nashville remains their actual label home. Sony itself has really leaned into the streaming and JV label deals anyway (which is why the label roster is so large; some of them Will never get radio promo).

That title is really bad lol and there were multiple parts of the song that were super annoying based on that live video. Yeahhh... so I love this It's so infectious!! Melodically it's really strong, too. I will definitely be bopping to this. So OneManBand will be happy to know that my initial reaction was wrong, lol. I support this song.

This is probably going to be their biggest hit. Undeniable smash here.

I've noticed this has slowed waaaayyyy down. Is this testing poorly? I'm not too worried that it won't pick back up again yet, but it was definitely climbing at a pretty fast pace and then the way its gains have dissipated to barely anything once it hit the mid-teens has been odd, especially since this one is moving the needle in a BIG way for them. Like, it was easily looking like it would be their highest impact hit of their entire career with it consistently selling/streaming so well.

I've noticed this has slowed waaaayyyy down. Is this testing poorly? It is. Lowest net positive. Highest heavy burn rate. It could still hit #1 but it won't have good recurrent airplay.

Thanks for clarifying, because I was wondering if that was explaining the slowdown once it hit the teens. It's funny that it is testing so poorly because by all other metrics this one is moving the needle a lot more than pretty much all their singles except for "One Man Band" (which is their only top 40 hit on the Hot 100 thus far).

i mostly hate Country but i have to listen to it sometimes at my job . this song is easily my favorite song they are playing. it is actually not really Country and sounds a bit like a 60's Motown song . so i guess i should not be surprised with the bad callouts.

This song is a blast that I would've easily loved hearing all summer with two weeks at the top. :'(

I don't know if today's update was a fluke but man it is not a good sign when a song loses over 170 spins and 500k in audience in a single day. In general this week on Mediabase has been pretty rough for "I Was On A Boat That Day" as it has lost 141 spins and has lost 1172k in audience. I don't think this is done due to the CCUSA appearance in a couple weeks but if tomorrow's update is also garbage then it might be the end of this song.
Shame too because this is pretty catchy overall and has done pretty well as it has made it to #45 on the Hot 100 which is not bad for a song that is just barely in the Top 10 on both charts.

Phew, I thought they were settling for a top ten peak as raylatch pointed out with that one update, but looks like it's turned around in the last couple of days!

After listening the album although this song is catchy it is my least favorite on it.So I´m ready for a new single as "Walk on Whiskey", "No Hard Feelings" or "Lonely Side of Town" that I loved it.

^ Good. This one's been floundering around for awhile and now that the album's been released, it's definitely high time for a new single.
