And remember one bad update doesn't spell game over for a song (unless you're a Gabby Barrett stan) so don't fret when things aren't going great for a song. This is reassuring cause today caught me off guard

-3 spins -35 bullet +0.032 audience Like raylatch98 said above, we try to discourage posting daily updates in this forum, and that's honestly a good example of it, because the day-to-day updates for most country songs at radio are going to be a constant up and down. You can occasionally post updates from time-to-time if they're notable and it's something that can spur discussion though! "Drunk" is off to a great start at radio, but it'll definitely be quite awhile before it really hits big because the charts move so slow at this format, sadly.

Up to #39 on Billboard’s Country Airplay chart this week.
When was the last time an all female collaboration reached the Top 40? Was it “Somethin’ Bad”?

This already being top 40 is great to see. It's not gonna quite fly up the chart, but it's definitely still moving a helluva lot faster than the majority of new singles do at the format.

Alright this better sit at #1 for at least two weeks to compensate the premature release of it causing Settling Down to miss #1.

I'm beyond over this one. I'm hearing 5 or 6 times during my 8 hours of work everyday. Absolutely nonsense for a song that's not even Top 30.

I live in Minnesota and the main Country station I listen to is K102 and they play it constantly and it is starting to get a bit annoying. I just looked on AllAccess and it's the stations most played song which explains a lot. It also doesn't help that I hear it constantly on the main HAC I listen too either (Cities 97). Yes, I'm glad to hear a female collab get this kind of airplay, but when the song isn't even Top 30 it is too much.

I’m very curious to see how callouts look for this when it shows up. I know virtually everyone here has been pretty gung ho about it, but I’ve always felt like it would be pretty polarizing and probably burn out fairly quickly. We’ll see. I do expect it to make it quite a bit further though regardless.

I mean, I think the problem isn't that your station is playing it like it's a top 10 hit on country radio, the problem is that it's not yet a top 10 hit on country radio. With the way this one has been selling/streaming, there's absolutely no reason this still isn't top 30 on country radio. It's moments like this that really, really make me hate the country radio industry. This should be close to peaking now, not just barely getting put into low daytime rotation at most radio stations.

I would say it's still quite early for this one yet. It was only just released to country radio's airwaves in June. It's been just less than three months. I'm not too worried about this one's run quite yet, but country radio nationwide stays confusing the hell out of me gardyfan and christianlarson9 over in Minnesota keep hearing this like it's a Luke Combs hit, and here I am in Indiana having not heard it ONCE on my country station. It's only just now starting to pick up on my HAC/CHR stations, which is where I've been hearing it.

I’m in LA and our country station is only playing it 1-2 times a day and playing other miranda songs more from what the playlist is showing. It does feel a little slow since it was sent to other formats so much earlier. But also bigger songs keep debuting high and keeping it out of the top 30 so I guess we’ll see if it picks up at any point. As a huge miranda fan BUT also someone who is kinda annoyingly “keep country radio country” I don’t really care where it ends up on the country chart either way. I’m just glad we got something fun and different from her that’s also a very strong song.

I foresee this meeting a similar fate as “Somethin’ Bad.” I just don’t think country radio programmers want this type of brashness from female vocalists. I bet the testing is polarizing as hell.

Not usually a fan of acoustic versions, but this is one of the better ones I've heard. It still very nicely captures the lively and fun energy of the original.

I follow the country charts and understand that they move slow, but damn, how is this still only #29? This is one of my favorite songs of the year, but I played the hell out of it this spring and summer and I'm pretty over it now. Just amazing that a song with this much buzz can be so low on the charts still.

It is crazy to think the superstars in the 90s and early 2000s used to have 3 singles in one calendar year that climbed the charts for 17-20 weeks total, and even the mid-level stars would only need 25 weeks to reach the Top 10/5. Now 25 weeks and you are lucky to be in the Top 40.
It has made radio really irrelevant for me as much as I like tracking chart climbs, but has also changed the way albums are looked at. While some artists have just stopped doing them (or only releasing 6-8 tracks at a time), labels only need 2 hit singles now instead of 4 from each record, so the artists technically have a lot more freedom to make the album they want.

I get that, but by the time it was sent to Country, it had already established itself as a hit in other metrics. So you would have thought it would have moved up a little faster. I'm not saying I expected this to be top 10 or anything by now, but barely top 30 is laughable.
