Gym Class Heroes on โStereo Heartsโ with Adam Levine. Hmm, what makes you feel that way? I can't say I really agree given Gym Class Heroes get two verses and Travie ad-libs all throughout Adam's chorus and third verse, so I'm interested to hear your thoughts.

Justin Timberlake on โHoly Grailโ comes to mind. Justin gets the long intro, the chorusโ and the bridge leaving Jay Z with two 30 second verses.
Christina Aguilera on โFeel This Moment.โ/Kesha on โTimber.โ They get the intros, and the chorusโs, leaving Pitbull with the uneventful verses. Not to mention both songs have strong beat drops that carry the songs beyond the features being the only highlight.
Rihanna on โWild Thoughts.โ I know every DJ Khaled song is set up like this but she completely dominates the song, yet sheโs listed as a feature along with Bryson Tiller who only has a 45 second verse. This song shouldโve at least been billed as DJ Khaled & Rihanna featuring Bryson Tiller.
โPlease Meโ by Cardi and Bruno. I guess itโs technically Cardiโs song (even though itโs in-house from the record label to promote both of their artists and doesnโt belong on any album) but it certainly feels like Cardi was thrown into Brunoโs wheelhouse on this one. It feels like a song that belonged on 24K Magic or even Silk Sonic.
Iโll also mention โI Like Itโ and โWAPโ by Cardi. It seems like she has a pattern of giving her features just as much prominence as her. I honestly wonder if casual listeners even realized โI Like Itโ was her as the lead.
โMotorSportโ by the Migos feels like they are the feature because they completely get overshadowed by the female rappers. Even though they are consistently present on the song.

Knife Talk. Sheyaa does the ad libs during the intro and, bar a few ad libs here and there, the entire chorus. He also has the first non-sample verse. I feel like, speaking based on the songs themselves and therefore ignoring whose album they were on, it and Look Alive (which nykanyon already mentioned) should have Drake's credited role switched, so he's the featured artist on Knife Talk and the lead artist on Look Alive.

I feel like this is mainly an issue due to the chorus of the song in general being more well-remembered than the rap verses. Unless the rapper is dropping bar after bar of quotables (for example, something like the first verse of Eminem's "Lose Yourself"), people are gonna be singing along with the chorus and struggle with the verses.

โApologizeโ - Timbaland f/ One Republic (more One Republic) It's always really bothered me that Timbaland gets credited first while OneRepublic gets pushed to featured credit, when it was OR's song to begin with and Timbaland just remixed it. That would be like changing it to SeeB feat. Mike Posner for "I Took a Pill in Ibiza," or Pnau feat. Elton John & Dua Lipa for "Cold Heart." It doesn't make sense IMO.

Local example: Anja Nissen - I'm So Excited (ft. will.i.am & Cody Wise)
Will.i.am jacks the entire first verse for himself, then Anja only gets half a verse of her own which she has to share with Cody. Basically, Will reduced her to the hook girl on what was meant to be her debut single and it utterly bombed.

"Going Bad" by Meek Mill feat. Drake is another example. Drake gets the first verse, the bridge, the chorus and the post-chorus, while Meek just gets a verse.

maybe he's changed it up on his newer stuff, but i get this vibe from a lot of gucci mane songs. seems like he habitually gives the feature the hook + the first verse and doesn't come in until partway thru

Hilary Duff & Bow Wow - Tell Me a Story
Hilary has like 5 lines in the chorus and 4 lines in the bridge and then Bow Wow has like 2 full 1 minute+ verses.

This was always more of an Eminem song IMO.

My mind instantly went to Halsey's Eastside, and Gwen's Southside, which are technically the producers' songs Benny Blanco and Moby respectively, but Halsey and Gwen are so charismatic they shine straight through.

This was always more of an Eminem song IMO. It feels like that as a standalone track. It was Missy's intent to let him drop three verses while she contributes everything else (besides background vocals). The song was originally titled "Funky White Boy".

Kendrick Lamar & SZA - All the Stars
This might be splitting hairs since they technically have equal billing, but it's always felt much more like SZA's song to me. I might not have thought much of Kendrick's name coming first, but Pray for Me from the same soundtrack was credited as The Weekend & Kendrick Lamar.
