I'm worried this is struggling on the charts.

I'm worried this is struggling on the charts. It's been less than 20 minutes since it was announced as a single and it's doing nothing! The horror! The horror! Especially for a good Christian girl like Gabby, she should already be #1 on every chart with this song. What a flop. /s

Excellent choice! Was hoping they’d end with this one. I can see this one being a good seller. Might not be as radio friendly as the first two, but still feel like this one should at least make top 10.

She took too long to announce this; surely it'll flop now!

Good choice. I hope this thread is as much fun as the last one.

Solid choice! I don't love it as much as her previous singles, but I will be adding this to my playlist. As for the thread, as much as I appreciate discussion around Gabby from different points of view, I hope this thread will only have meaningful discussion around this song and the chart run, and doesn't get too long and ultimately locked, like her previous singles lol.

This makes the most sense. Good for her team for giving her enough time to really solidify where she goes with her second album. Hard to believe Goldmine is just a year old.
This will be a test to see how much radio really does like her. There is far less buzz around this song than both her first singles had going into their chart runs. I personally think it'll perform just fine and should be another #1 for her.

Very cool. I am fine with this as the third single should she works on a new album. This will be the first one that didn’t have a lot of buzz before releasing it to radio. Will be interesting. This is the time to take a risk when its the third single. Hopefully this means they asked radio and got good response. What’s great is all three singles have been so different with different subject matter.

Definitely a smart choice going with this out of what’s left on the album. Both this and “Thank God” are pretty cheesy lyrically but they were the only decent uptempo choices for radio. This definitely doesn’t sound like a smash hit like the last two singles so this really will be a test to see if radio and consumers have any interest in Gabby as an artist.

I actually think this is really radio friendly. Should be a nice summertime jam. Yeah maybe the lyrics and subject are a little cheesy but it works. Will be interesting after she announces it on her socials how it does on iTunes.

I'm giving this a month until i'll give up on it and call it a flop. (Okay, I'll stop) In all seriousness, I am not as confident as some people here seriously are. I like the production but something about Gabby's voice here just sounds off especially on the chorus.

Just listened to it for the first time and I like it! I think when it is all said and done it will be my favorite of the three singles from this album.

Smart not to go with the obvious choices and yes, it doesn't have the same catchiness as "I Hope" and "The Good Ones" but if she's able to get to #1 with one of the least obvious choice on "Goldmine", then i think country radio are really on board with her, beyond the hype and huge success of her first two singles.

YES! This is my favorite song on the record and I'm thrilled that this is a single. I'm hoping it can smash. What a gorgeous melody, and fantastic lyric.

Sounds like a 2007/closing track on a The Hills episode, not for Country radio in 2021. Baffled at the confidence, not to mention the forum campaigning for this one to have been picked for this slot on the singles roster, but we'll see.

This sounds like a Carrie Underwood Carinval Ride era reject.
Does anyone else struggle to understand what she's saying in this... especially in the chorus? Enunciation is not good.

I had to actually look at the lyrics to see exactly what she said at the part where she says “yeah they’ll pay you to quit and he’ll tell you that it’s hard cause it is” because I couldn’t understand what she was saying whatsoever.

The chorus vocals do sound a little muffled by the production on this one, but... in a similar fashion to "I Hope" so I've never seen it as something that would be a hindrance to its success. "Footprints" feels like its really cut from the same cloth as her debut hit to me from its build-up to the anthemic chorus and a production standpoint, which is part of why I love both of them so much and also why I can see it going over well. This sounds like a Carrie Underwood Carinval Ride era reject. Does anyone else struggle to understand what she's saying in this... especially in the chorus? Enunciation is not good. I did too. Kinda proving your point here perhaps (lol), but the lyric is: Voices in the night, in your head Yeah, they'll beg you to quitI struggled with understanding parts of the chorus myself for awhile, but once I learned what they were, I can hear it crystal clear now, and it's far from the first time a radio hit has had parts where I had trouble making them out (there were parts of "More Than My Hometown" by Morgan Wallen that did that for me, i.e.).

I had the same problem when her album came out making our lyrics. But just watching a lyric video one time everything sounds clear now.

Glad we finally have a 3rd single. Few thoughts is it’s a great song not sure how radio will treat this one. I think coming off 2 number 1s. The worse I see this doing is Top 10. And that would still be very good and no one should panic over a top 10 or even top 15. However this very well could go #1. Gabby may just be the it girl on country radio right now.

I think this will be another #1 for her, but given it hasn't shown any signs of being a big streaming hit or seller, I'm not as confident as I was in "The Good Ones". I do have a feeling Warner will use the same the sales tactic they did with the last 2 singles and have it discounted for its full chart run on iTunes which will definitely help.

Gabby did a concert this week and said she is just now starting to write and think about the direction of her next album.
I can’t wait to see how many adds this gets on Monday.
