Is TQG a version without Karol? Since she's not listed on the tracklist? While still disappointing she's just tacking on the song (along with others), I'll take a solo version.

I wondered that too based on the Spotify billboard, but if you look at the listing on the vinyl she's holding in the first picture z it says "TQG X Karol G" And apparently Nassau is afrobeat (or afrobeat adjacent?) x.com/shakira/status/1764765697937146097?s=20

Is there anything interesting in The Times article? It's behind a paywall.

I listened to the "back half" of this album to pregame and there's no stylistic consistency between them other than the fact that everything relates to her break up with Pique, except maybe El Jefe.
Despite her doing the same thing for El Dorado, that felt more cohesive from a production & musicality standpoint so far. I'm hoping the 8 new tracks have at least some consistency.
EDIT: Separately, I gathered her #1 from the Latin airplay charts at Billboard and she has A LOT. Everything unmarked is one of her 23 number ones at Latin Pop Airplay. Estoy Aqui Se Quiere Se Mata Ciega, Sordomuda Tu Suerte/Whenever, Wherever Que Me Quedes Tu La Tortura Hips Don't Lie Te Lo Agradezco, Pero No Loba/She Wolf Lo Hecho Esta Hecho/Did It Again Gitana Loca Mi Verdad La Bicicleta Chantaje Deja vu - Tropical Airplay Me Enamore Perro Fiel Clandestino Girl Like Me - Overall Latin Airplay Te Felicito Monotonia - Tropical Airplay Bzrp Music Sessions, Vol. 53 TQG Copa Vacia El Jefe - Overall Latin Airplay
Other Number Ones Underneath Your Clothes - Australia & much of Europe Illegal - Club Play Beautiful Liar - UK & Europe Waka Waka (This Time For Africa) - much of Europe Rabiosa - Spain & Portugal Je l'aime a mourir - France & Wallonia Can't Remember to Forget You - Mexico & Club Play Boig per tu - Spain Dare (La La La) - Club Play

Tiempo Sin Verte and Como Dondeny Cuando are the best things Shakira has done in years.

About what I expected, unfortunately. It's a playlist, not an album.
Cómo Dónde y Cuando is the only song of the new ones that hit with me on first listen. It's the only song that feels like Shakira to me.
I honestly can't tell the difference between the normal and "vinyl" version of Puntería other than one is like 8 seconds longer.

OMG the eight new songs gave me chills! They're so cohesive and it feels like the first time we're really hearing Shakira and her style since the self-titled ten years ago. It makes the back half sound EVEN MORE like a playlist as YourFaveIsAFlop said. Like the 7 singles tacked on are good songs of themselves, but they don't sonically sound like the first half, except maybe Bzrp Music Sessions, No. 53. In some ways, the "Don't Wait Up" Riton Mix fits in more with the dance tracks in the first half than most of the second half does.

If I pretend those singles were all lead singles, then the album feels like one of the best Shak albums, maybe even my favorite! Most of the reviews do mention that if feels like the album has a part A and a part B. But, I get why they did it. Those singles were not on any Shakira album and it makes her album an instant hit. The fans love when Shakira breaks records. For example, it instantly broke Beyoncé's record:

Is that coming mainly from Latin stations? It sounds like a crossover hit so I wish they'd try Pop and Rhythmic too.

Are there yet any sales predictions?? After how massive worldwide her singles have been in the last couple of years, I thought the opening of this album was going to be big. I was surprised when Hits Daily Double apparently didn't even mention her album in their sales predictions for the new albums that just came out Friday with hers. I decided to take a look at Spotify charts and basically there are no Shakira songs ranked! Not even Puntería! As a Latin American sample I checked Perú chart and not even there!! I was really expecting huge streaming of all the new tracks in the album at least in Latin American countries. Am I missing something?? Marketing seemed to be going well. Was it an error to wait until album release for the new single?!

I was really expecting huge streaming of all the new tracks in the album at least in Latin American countries. Am I missing something?? Marketing seemed to be going well. Was it an error to wait until album release for the new single?! Her streaming numbers for the new songs are lower than expected. It could be due to various factors. 1) She did release a lot of singles before the album release. "Punteria" would be the 8th single from the album (if we count those other singles). People were not excited because they just got a bunch of Shakira singles. They saw the album as a collection of singles with a few new songs. 2) Maybe releasing regional Mexican songs was a bad idea. That genre is very nichey. She was getting mainstream attention with Session 53 and then she released "El Jefe". After "Punteria" she released "(Entre Parentesis)." For some reason her label feels this genre suits Shakira well. I feel it ruins her mainstream appeal. This was the moment for her to release some English songs that fit in well with the current music scene, not regional Mexican songs. The album had zero English songs. I love the songs on the new album (minus the regional Mexican songs), but I'm not sure it was the right direction for her right now. The streaming numbers are showing that people felt the album was uneventful for Shakira.

When they rushed out the video for Entre Parentesis this week, I figured sales/streams were lagging. They should have released Punteria and promoted it as a single when they announced the album instead of holding it for release week.

IDK - this album is giving me everything I've been missing from Shak since 2006. She absolutely did that as far as I am concerned - La Fuerte? I can't!
