I wouldnβt go as far to say that Butter would be outside the Top 40 without manipulation. After all, One Too Many is charting despite being outside the Top 1000 of Apple Music and unranked on Spotify.

So BTS is dropping a new song July 9th... Well that's really annoying bc they're just going to block all the song that actually deserve to go #1 this summer but can't b/c of international funds promoting mass buying. But maybe it'll split funds and have them be 50/50 between the new song and butter, or even 75/25 or 80-20. Could result in the new song not getting more than 2 weeks at #1 but one thing is sure... I get that Butter (and BTS songs in general) sucks at streaming, but letβs not over exaggerate it. Butter is ~200 on AM and 40 on Spotify.

I'm glad to see the BTS astroturfing is working overtime on Popheads lmao. Somehow BTS is this small band that is SHUNNED by the media, while also having Billboard reward them for this fuckery weekly lmao.
It'll be a sight to see them pretend whatever their next "hit number one" is actually the most popular song in the country.

I hope this all happens just for the meltdowns and Billboard's continued downward spiral into irrelevancy. But i bet the numbers are up for Billboards views. Also, just because you don't like the rules doesn't mean the system is becoming irrelevant especially if people continue to discuss it weekly if not daily. Billboard will remain the standard...I just hope they update their rules a bit on stuff like this. |

It's not horrible? I don't hate it per say
Sonically, it's just a lesser Lay It All On Me with messier vocal production, a less catchy main melody, and a weaker groove. It's chill enough to be background music but not something worth dancing too. That said, if u replaced Ed with someone more interesting like Tove Lo, even if you kept the same instrumental and lyrics, it'd be more interesting.
