Carly Rae Jepsen - “I Really Like You” ESPECIALLY considering that “Run Away With Me” is the smash that never was I kind of see what she was going for since "Call Me Maybe" was in such a similar vein.

"Say Something" off Kylie's last album. Not even an average album track and they had the AUDACITY to release it as the LEAD of the album. Jesus what a hot mess.

Michael Jackson- The Girl Is Mine
Let's be honest: You all thought the lead single was either Thriller, Beat It, or Billie Jean before looking it up.

Some are stolen from your choices. :)
Alanis - Everything Britney - Make Me Lady Gaga - Perfect Illusion P!nk - Walk Me Home & NGNDA Lorde - Solar Power Shania - Life’s About To Get Good (sorry, I just dont love it and felt there were stronger/more nostalgic choices) Sam Smith - Love Me More Madonna - Gimme All Your Luvin’ and Living For Love Kacey Musgraves - justified Allie X - Fresh Laundry Fantasia - Enough you+me - You and Me Florence and The Machine - King & Sky Full of Song Sarah McLachlan - In Your Shoes Nelly Furtado - Big Hoops & Pipe Dreams Avril - Don’t Tell Me & Here’s to Never Growing Up
Madonna’s Erotica and Secret didn’t sound much like first singles either, not that I didn’t enjoy them, they were just kinda low key.
