This is like asking me to choose between children.
I gave the nod to "WAP" in each category, but there aren't enough good things to say about both songs and videos. They bring me endless joy.

There wouldn’t even be “WAP” without “Anaconda”. Nicki paved the way for songs like that along with “Twerkulator”.
Genius.

I despise "Anaconda" and the sample is atrocious. I cannot watch the video without being transported back to that fart remix, either.
I love "WAP" as a song, and their chemistry in the video is great as well.

The one without the gross skinny-shaming outro.
To be fair, the music video for "Anaconda" is great, though I ultimately voted "WAP" for both - everything about it is fantastic 🔥

I've softened towards Anaconda but that outro is still too much. WAP is still so funny

WAP for both.
And LOL at there being no WAP without Anaconda. There wouldn't be an Anaconda without "How Many Licks?" or Lil' Kim.

Voted for "WAP" for both, I like it. Not a fan of "Anaconda" principally because the sample of the "Baby Got Back" gets old fast!

And LOL at there being no WAP without Anaconda. There wouldn't be an Anaconda without "How Many Licks?" or Lil' Kim. you sound salty. where is Lil Kim mentioned in the poll or anywhere on this page? Lil Kim, Foxy Brown, Missy Elliot, Ms. Lauryn Hill... they all shaped hiphop and paved the way for women in hiphop today. but if you can't admit Nicki Minaj's influence on basically every other mainstream woman in hiphop today, including "Anaconda"s direct impact in pushing boundaries culturally (even beyond hiphop), that's your problem. Minaj was also influenced by those that came before her. that's how art works. no one said "Anaconda" was the first female hiphop song to exist.

I was making sure Lil' Kim got her shine, people always want to leave her out of the convo. You're the one going off on a tangent. There is a direct line from HML? to Anaconda, the entire lyrical concept as a matter of fact. Outside of Anaconda and WAP being sexual songs by female rappers, I'm not seeing this huge influence (pushing boundaries culturally... wha?). But whatever, go off a little.

Never did they say Nicki wasn't influential or important to hip-hop culture and exposure but Cardi B herself cites Lil Kim as her biggest influence. So it shouldn't be that controversial to say there wouldn't be a WAP without Lil Kim.

You're not the only one that said "there wouldn't be a WAP with no Anaconda." Which is why I brought up Lil' Kim and her clear influence on both songs. So no, that wasn't just directed at you. And here you are again being confrontational and salty for no reason. If you think Anaconda influenced WAP, that's all you have to say. You don't have to come for anybody to get your point across. To sum up my opinion, I see a direct line from HML? to Anaconda and WAP. Way moreso than I see a direct line from Anaconda to WAP. But if you disagree, that's fine. It's not a big deal.

Anaconda relies to heavily on that sample.
W.A.P. for me.
Ya'll Nicki fans need to relax. Khia did the pop yo pussy song better than either of these two hoes.
