UNIIQU3 harkens back to black dance singers like Crystal Waters, Robin S, CeCe Peniston, Ultra Nate, Jody Watley, Shannon, stretching back to the queen herself Donna Summer, along with many others before hip hop became a dominant force in the mainstream.

Ray BLK is a Nigerian singer-songwriter who grew up in London and first experimented with music during her teens when she formed a group with her classmate MNEK called New Found Content. The group didn't go far but she continued making music while at university and, in 2015, self-released her first mixtape, Havisham, which quickly developed her a cult following. In 2016, the release of her Durt EP garnered even more acclaim and led her to a nomination for Best Newcomer at the MOBO Awards followed by making history in 2017 as the first unsigned artist to win the BBC's infamous Sound of poll (beating the likes of RAYE, Jorja Smith, and Stefflon Don).

After a bidding war, she signed with Island who released her Empress EP in 2018 followed by a slew of singles, the latest of which is Over You, leading up to the release of her official debut album, Access Denied, last month.

Anxiety (Burlinda's Theme) was a promotional single released from JoJo's latest EP, trying not to think about it, released last month. The songs stemmed from her getting out of a toxic "situationship" and needing to process all her feelings about it before she could move on to making new music for her next album.
