The daughter of famed arranger/producer Don Costa and goddaughter of his longtime client, Frank Sinatra, Nikka Costa is no stranger to the music business. She landed her first gig at age five, opening for Hawaiian entertainer Don Ho; by age seven, she was wowing 300,000 Police fans in Chile. She released four albums throughout Europe, Israel, and Central and South America in the '80s, most of them going platinum. By the time she reached her mid-twenties, she called Australia home and became a favorite down under, issuing her Butterfly Rocket album in 1996 and garnering two ARIA nominations. At the turn of the century, the American market finally took notice after her song, Like a Feather, was prominently featured in a Tommy Hilfiger ad campaign. Virgin signed her shortly thereafter and she has since released four albums and an EP. Keep It High is one of ten new songs on her new album, Dirty Disco, out August 16th.
