It’s really ironic how many songs there are in her catalog that predicted her life, outcome, situation. But which one do you think is the most prophetic?
I do think “Lucky” is the most representative here. Although I might add I think “Circus” is the most ironic because the lyrics depict her as the ring leader which was the complete opposite of what was really happening.

The craziest thing is that she didn't actually write any of these. "Lucky" and "Overprotected" feel very weird to me these days. I like both and "Overprotected" is probably my fave Britney track but this whole situation leaves a sour taste when I play them.
Hopefully "Stronger" will end up being the more prophetic song and she comes back stronger than yesterday ever.

I was listening to the “Britney’ album and the song “Cinderella” put me in that type of mood too. She was telling us even then to “let her go.” The irony is Max Martin wrote all these songs for her. He’s a master of pop prophecy apparently.

Overprotected was always my favorite Britney single; followed by Lucky and Sometimes. Just wow in retrospect.

I voted other for "Someday (I Will Understand)" and could also justify the original "Mona Lisa" lyrics.

"Lucky" is the most prophetic in the literal sense of the word. I truly believe it was unintentional, despite those that like to claim she was "warning us." I don't think she was venting her frustrations about life and fame until the Britney album - "Overprotected," "Lonely," "Let Me Be," "Cinderella" - take your pick.
And, yes, "Mona Lisa" is a good mention as well.
