Kinda lowkey excited for this because I'm guessing from the title that it'll 1) be a duet with a female artist and 2) won't be another generic arena rock song like "We Back" so... tentatively I am optimistic about this one being halfway decent.

I've been seeing some speculation it's with Carrie. Would make the most sense as I can't name another female artist it would be, especially if its going to radio soon. Maren already has Chasing After you with Ryan. Carly just had a collab. Miranda has a collab with Elle right now. Kelsea has a collab with Kenny. Lauren has her collab with Jon right now. Gabby's team probably wouldn't allow her to have a collab competing with Footprints on the moon so that crosses her out. Unless it's a lesser known artist Carrie would make the most sense as she could use something to bring her back to radio after being away for a while, and I don't suspect she's quiet ready to release a lead single to an album yet.

Agree that Carrie makes some sense here, but I have some trouble picturing them working together for some reason haha Could be someone outside the genre too, maybe a sequel to "Don't You Wanna Stay" and have Kelly back? I'm with .indulgecountry in being excited either way, his collabs with women have been good at worst.

Someone on Twitter pointed out if you zoom in on the question mark you see who it is. Surely enough it’s Miss Underwood herself. Hope this is a good one.

This may be the Brantley collaboration that him and Brantley teased a month or so ago.

That's what I thought at first, but the title of the song made me think it would likely be a collaboration with a female artist. As for the song, I am also excited, and I hope it's a good one, as I haven't enjoyed any of his singles after You Make It Easy.

If it’s a female artist I’d like it to be either Carrie Underwood or Carly Pearce.

Oh wow you can see Carrie when you turn your brightness up. Not sure how this benefits her at this point ? Are we not getting a single from her next album this year either?

I updated the title of this thread and have included 'Carrie Underwood'. If you add brightness to your screen and get a close up of the mystery person, you will see it is Carrie that Jason has with him.

This is very smart on Carrie’s part i think, as long as its good. With Aldean thats a slippery slope lol but i don’t think she would do it unless she loved the song so i’m gonna trust her judgement. This song can hopefully rebuild a little momentum and if it turns out to be a huge hit which i think its pretty likely it will be, after this song peaks she will prob have a lead single ready to go in early 2022 and the excitement and build up for new solo Carrie music will be that much stronger!

^ I agree. She really needs some new momentum after the lackluster (especially by her standards) radio era that CP was. Jason, bland as getout or not, is one of the biggest names in the genre even now and after being away from radio for over a year now, hearing Carrie’s voice is going to be a welcome sound to many casual fans, some of whom likely checked out during the MG/MS era. They’ll hear this and then start wondering and waiting for CU9. Genius on her part.

With Carrie’s name on it it sounds more promising than his last lead single and if it’s a ballad it’ll only be the second time he’s ever released a ballad as a lead single. The first time he did it he had 4 #1 singles from the album.

This Is possibly the most intriguing duet I’ve seen lol. Definitely not expected but I’ve always liked his duets. Can’t wait to hear it!

Apparently this got recorded in, like, the last 3 weeks. The demo is being described as a “more uptempo” DYWS.

If I remember correctly Jason Aldean is the only artist that has collaborations with Carrie Underwood, Miranda Lambert and Kelly Clarkson. Quite random fact.

OMG why is Carrie working with this hack? Because they get along and are friends and she wants too? What's the problem with her working with Jason Aldean?

The one Aldean did on one of his albums a few years ago with Kelsea Ballerini also would’ve done well imo if they had released it.

Thrilled to hear that it's a duet with Carrie Underwood. Jason Aldean got Miranda Lambert a #1 radio hit after several years of missing out on the top spot with her own material, so he'll likely be able to do the same for Carrie Underwood here, lol. I'm excited to hear this and to have Carrie's voice back on the radio -- and this is a good move for both of them, especially if she's still not ready with new country music of her own just yet.
