This is a solid song! I could not enjoy any of the three singles from 9, but this is a great lead single, and hopefully the upcoming album is as great. My favourite part of the song is the piano intro though. Love that melody.

Just got to hear this song and I am scratching my head at the earlier comparisons in this thread to DYWS. These are two VERY different songs. Carrie's falsetto voice singing the title in between the first chorus and second verse is heavenly. I'm very pleasantly surprised, and frankly stunned, by some of Jason's vocals here as well. He held his own against the Queen imo and they sound phenomenal together. I need the adds date to be immediate! This is gonna sound so incredible in the car, and it's in my Top 5 of Jason's material, which isn't really a high bar to clear lol, but still. I'm very happy with this, and I think it deserves awards. Very easy #1 for the both of them, bringing some needed momentum back to Carrie's standing at radio after the Cry Pretty era was far from up to par to her usual standards. I don't have my hopes up that this indicates any change to his sound or material this album cycle tho, lol.

I'm not really the biggest fan of Jason, but he and Carrie are really great on this song. It's a win for me!

Now this song is great! I expect a nice debut on both charts for this one. This actually might end up being a bigger hit than his other big duet hit “Don’t You Wanna Stay” with Kelly Clarkson. None of the songwriters names are ringing a bell. Have they written any other notable hits?

Kurt Allison sounded the most familiar and the only 2 notable songs besides a few album cuts I’ve found he’s co-wrote are “They Don’t Know” by Jason and Dustin Lynch’s number 1 singe “Seein’ Red”.

This is quite frankly a great song. So good to hear Carrie’s beautiful voice again.

This blew me away tbh. I am really impressed with how good Jason Aldean sounds here, as he is very hit-or-miss with me. That said, he's long been one of those artists in the genre who is GREAT when he is on ("Why," "The Truth," "Any Ol' Barstool," "Drowns the Whiskey," "First Time Again," etc. all being phenomenal songs). He unfortunately recycles the same tired vanilla tropes way too often and they frequently make up the majority of his hit catalog, but "If I Didn't Love You" is one of those rare flashes of brilliance and is a total winner. They both sound amazing on this together and I am very excited to see this smash as I fully expect it to. Great move for both of them at this stage of their careers, especially Carrie who will be even better set up for success when she drops a new country radio single of her own.

#1 on iTunes and pushed Fancy Like down to 0.3 (i.e. selling 3x of Fancy Like) -- probably will sell around 30-35k in first week, assuming Fancy Like is stable at around 20k sales weekly. #44 on Apple Music. 424k Youtube streams. I would guess top 50 debut on US Spotify also.
Top 30 debut on Hot 100 likely. Could be a lesser #1 on Hot Country Songs in weaker charts but right now the chart is strong (country songs perform better in Summer too).

I like it. I don't think it's fantastic or anything--I've heard better duets from both artists--but it's okay.

I really, really like this. They sound great together, and I quite like the lyrics. This should be a very big radio hit.

Kinda crazy how a week ago no one really knew that this was about to happen, except for some select people out there in the know. When would we hear Carrie on country radio again? And even on wednesday when the tease came out no one really thought she would be the one to do a song with him, but here we are! And i think its a perfect song to get her going again before she officially starts her next era.
Was wondering if there was a chance jason & carrie might sing this together on that cma summer jam concert in a few days but jason is not listed to appear. Guess we will have to wait til november at the cma awards to see them give this song a live performance as i would be shocked if they don’t

I also find this interesting that this is the most interest that a Jason single has had in years. His last number one had less posts over it’s entire chart run lol

Hot take but I am kind of just underwhelmed by this. I have heard this song about a half dozen times, and besides the hook nothing is sticking with me besides the hook and I think for me my problem is that Jason and Carrie don't sound great together and the production imo is pretty bland and gutless. Honestly I prefer "Don't You Wanna Stay" over this (more intense production and Kelly's vocals on that song are better than Carrie's here). Sorry, this songs just not clicking for me.

Debuts at #20 on Billboard’s Country Airplay chart this week. Phenomenal. Ties with "So Small" and "Cry Pretty" as Carrie's second-highest debut on the chart. This will be at the top in no time at all.

We might be looking at a multi-week airplay #1. I know we’re just starting out, but I absolutely see this logging more than 1 week at the top.

I know Garth’s song “More Than A Memory” is the highest ever debuting song at #1 on Country Airplay. My question is what is the highest debuting song after it?

I’ll second most of this post. Only thing I disagree with is I think they sound good together. Like really really good, I’m not sure if Kelly or Carrie sounded better with him. The song itself is ok it’s not bad, but of his duets with women it’s the weakest. The production is so ho him, and the lyrics don’t stand out at all. The hooks aren’t all that memorable to me. I’ll probably chart this just because I do like the vocal showcase here and I miss Carrie but it won’t be a favorite of mine. Its going to be a huge smash though haha that I have no doubts.

Didn’t “Feel Like a Rockstar” by Kenny & Tim debut at #13 or something!? "We Are Never Getting Back Together" tied that at #13 as well. Pretty sure #13 was the peak for both songs too. After that, there's been a smattering of songs to debut in the 16-20 range over the years. I think WANGBT and FLAR hold the #2 spot on the list of highest debuts on country airplay.
