When the initial lists came in, it looked like one of the top 2 would be running away with it, but several of the later lists had them the other way around, shrinking the gap between them. But was it enough to change the winner?
Between them, the top 2 have five #1s and just three ranks outside the top half (two of which are #7s). They've got the 2nd and 4th lowest SDs, and (aside from Big Stripey Lie's one list at #1 thanks to XFER) spent every list at #1.
But which will win, Moments Of Pleasure or Rubberband Girl? Find out in 10 minutes.

I didn't realise what was still in. I get that singles bias is a thing, but you can't make THAT #1 surely?
EDIT: Phew, we made the right choice. EDIT #2: Thanks for hosting.

We've now just got three albums to go before we've ranked all of Kate's discography! (minus non-album extras, which I'm considering making a separate rankdown for? lmk if you'd be interested in that) With that, here are some final stats, and I'll try to get Aerial's opening post up in the next couple days.

Great winner. That's actually one of my favorite visuals she ever did for any of her songs.
This album is REALLY loaded towards the front imo. Not that the back group was bad, it was just less inspired and unique to me. I still feel that the union between her and Price should have produced something better even if I do like the actual song.

(Besides Big Stripey Lie) The right song won. I am a bit surprised I ranked Rubberband Girl at 5, cause the song sounds so incredibly dated, that I never thought it would garner such strong support. The Director's Cut version is so much better. And thanks samo for hosting the rankdown!
I suppose I kinda prefer Aerial to The Red Shoes, but I never listen to it, so we'll see what happens.
And if you're looking for opinions, I am not looking forward to an extras rankdown. Besides Under The Ivy (if even that) I think, unlike most people, her b-sides are horrendous.

Following The Red Shoes, Kate took a twelve-year absence from the music industry, during which she was able to spend time with her family and raise her son. When she returned to the studio in 2005 she released her eighth studio album (and her first double album), Aerial. Aerial became Kate's sixth consecutive album to hit the top 3 in the UK, and was able to scrape the top 50 in the US. It also saw greater success in the rest of Europe compared to her previous two albums. It also received the best critical reception of an album of her's since Hounds Of Love, with several publications calling it one of the best albums of 2005. Aerial's 2018 remaster saw more significant changes than most of her other albums, with the second disc being split into its nine separate tracks and Rolf Harris' vocals being redone with her son, Bertie. The only song released from the album as a single was "King Of The Mountain" (with "Pi" as a B-side), and it became her highest charting song in the UK since "Running Up That Hill", hitting #4 in October of 2005. In case you're unfamiliar with how rankdowns work, you just need to rank these from #1 (your favourite) to #16 (your least favourite) and send your list to me in a PM. I'm including the interludes here because there are three different ones to rank, and I already included "Night Scented Stock" in the Never For Ever rankdown. And just to clarify; you're ranking all of the songs together, so don't make two separate lists for each disc. {The tracklist}1. King Of The Mountain 2. Pi 3. Bertie 4. Mrs. Bartolozzi 5. How To Be Invisible 6. Joanni 7. A Coral Room
1. Prelude 2. Prologue 3. An Architect's Dream 4. The Painter's Link 5. Sunset 6. Aerial Tal 7. Somewhere In Between 8. Nocturn 9. Aerial {And without numbers}King Of The Mountain Pi Bertie Mrs. Bartolozzi How To Be Invisible Joanni A Coral Room
Prelude Prologue An Architect's Dream The Painter's Link Sunset Aerial Tal Somewhere In Between Nocturn Aerial Like with previous albums this probably won't be the final deadline, but for now your lists are due on the 14th October.

5 days remainingI'd hoped I wouldn't need to extend this again, but we haven't had any more lists since the last reminder (so we're still at four).

5 days remaining [2]Okay, let's try this one more time. 5. BB🌕6. dremolus - solarpunkWith STM finally over I'm feeling a lot less stressed about hosting rankdowns in general, so I should be able to wrap this up in the next couple weeks. I can wait longer if anyone won't be able to send a list by next Friday, but I'm hoping that the 4th will be the final deadline.

2 days remaining(no new lists) not sure how The Red Shoes can get a dozen lists but her best album since Hounds of Love has only managed six, but I'll leave the deadline as it is...for now.

Submissions are closed!8. willapted33( samo🦕 edit) I wanted to hit ten lists for all of her albums, but I'll take eight if it means we can finally move on to the next album and take another 6 months to rank it. - Four songs have at least one #1, including all of the top 3.
- Only one last-place rank can be found outside the bottom 3 (which all have at least one #16).
- The higher SDs (mostly) reigned here; the six highest have all made the top 7.
- The lowest SDs belong to the bottom 2, followed by one of the top 2.
- There are no ties, but several songs are very close. #5-8 are all separated by one point, and #9 is only five points ahead of #12.
- We also have one of our closest top 2s, with just five points between them.
1. Which songs do you think made the top 5? 2. Which songs do you think made the bottom 5? 3. How far will the album's only single ("King Of The Mountain") go? 4. Which non-interlude will be lost first, and which interlude will go the furthest? 5. What songs could have the highest/lowest SDs? 6. How far do you think your #1 will go?

Let's finally get some reveals for this rankdown! I'll reveal the bottom 6 tonight, starting with #16, which has half of everyone's last-place ranks (only one other songs has more than one) and no ranks outside the bottom 5. This somehow hasn't given it the lowest SD, but it's far less divisive than the 3rd lowest SD. Highest rank: 12 Perfect rankings: 4 Lowest rank: 16 (x4)

#15 didn't fare much better, only beating Aerial Tal by 3 points. It has the lowest SD because every single one of its ranks is in the bottom 3, but its lack of last-place ranks kept it ahead. Highest rank: 14 (x4) Perfect rankings: 2 Lowest rank: 16 (x2)

I easily could've had this in my bottom 2 but I thought it was really pretty, and a great song to pair with Prologue. We see the biggest gap between two songs here, and it's not even close (#14 is 24 points ahead of the bottom 2, and the next biggest is only 13 points). We also see our first two top 10 ranks exit. Highest rank: 6 Perfect rankings: 2 Lowest rank: 16

Basically take what I said about Prelude and multiply it by 10; this song is gorgeous, and makes listening to Sunset an even better experience than it already is. The interludes have all been eliminated, but the gap between The Painter's Link and #13 isn't that large (this song only won out by 8 points). It's the first song without a #16, and sees our first top 3 (and top 5) loss. Highest rank: 3 Perfect rankings: 1 Lowest rank: 15
