I’m glad Jake has something new ready to go i was curious how long it was gonna be considering how drawn out his Greetings From era was, even though it was also a huge success. Hopefully this will be big enough to keep the momentum going!

The chorus is pretty catchy. Overall it’s solid but I’m not blown away. Should be another hit at radio though.

Incredibly generic and nowhere close to as good as any of the singles from his last project, which is very disappointing. It's not bad, but it's not great.

Sonically this is just a weaker version of "Down to the Honkeytonk" lmao. Meh.

Just an okay song, very weak and forgettable song for a lead single. I hope he has something stronger than this for his next era.

Sounds like a Brad Paisley song with all the personality sucked out of the delivery. Echoing the sentiments of those above: it's certainly not bad by any stretch, but it's definitely underwhelming considering some of the great singles he's put out recently.

Yeah i find myself agreeing with others here, this is not bad, but it isn’t close to as good as any of the 4 singles off the Greetings From era. I’m hopeful this will grow on me though

I agree that this is quite underwhelming. I'm sure it'll be a hit, but it's my least favourite single from Jake in quite awhile.

This isn't the worst thing on the radio right now but it's a pass from me. Very generic to me.

Music video is reminiscent of the song for me: lazy, cheap, generic. The camerawork and editing felt really mediocre. Everything about this release just continues to feel so "meh" by comparison to his last era.

Just now hearing this…incredibly mediocre song (and very lazy MV), and a very disappointing step down from the last era. Hard pass.

Echo the statements above. I heard this the day it released and it didn’t stand out enough for me to post about it.
His last era was such a step in the right direction for him in every way. This is a step in the wrong direction. Feels very mailed in and the content is something we’ve already heard 1000 times in other country songs.

Guess I'm a dissenting opinion on this song, as I think it's pretty pleasant on the ears; even if it's unoriginal. He has a knack for picking good songs, so I'm curious to hear what else he has coming from this next album cycle.

According to the song feature article from Billboard, this was supposed to be a Blake Shelton song.

According to the song feature article from Billboard, this was supposed to be a Blake Shelton song. It was put on hold by Blake, according to the piece, but it was let go by Blake at some point and that's when it came to Jake from producer Joey Moi. I'm not sure it was necessarily for Blake specifically, but he did put it on hold immediately after hearing the demo. I could easily see Blake doing the song but I think Jake does a great job with it. The lyrics are obviously cliché and the article mentions that, but the melody and throwback arrangement is what sets it apart and why Jake recorded it.

This is good, but likely nothing I'd seek out. I'd definitely let it play on the radio, though.

Enters the Mediabase Top 30 this week at #29 gaining 33 spins. With how hectic and unstable the charts have been the last couple of weeks this song looks to be one of the most likely to hold on through to the end of the year as it has had a very solid pace since after it's hangover week as its only at 11 weeks on Billboard which is a pretty good pace all things considered.

Great callout (#3 net positive), so it will probably stay on radio for quite some time despite not doing particular well in other metrics.
