Seems way too soon, especially if it's the start of a new era.

Hopefully she gives enough time for "Love Again" to do its thing. Maybe she has some collabs to release? I'd be here for another Dua x Calvin Harris collab. *_*

I'm more than OK with "Love Again" closing the Future Nostalgia era. Most of it was recorded back in 2019? It's been almost two years, makes sense that she would have some new stuff. When was the last time a huge ass break benefited an act? Look at Lorde.

The Popjustice forum has been saying it's a new recording of his single "Sacrifice."

It's called "Cold Heart" and it's from Elton John's upcoming special project.

This might be another example of when we conflate a new release with a new single. There's a difference. Not every release is meant to smash the charts, or will even get a push to do so.

Yeah that makes perfect sense, Having two A-List music artists collaborating together on a song shouldn't automatically signify that the song is going to be a huge worldwide smash Hit.

Seems like this may be billed as a PNAU track, potentially featuring multiple Elton John tracks, and the track originally featured The Kid LAROI. via NME in May

Fuller official teaser, also confirming that it's just this song that references multiple Elton John tracks (since Dua sings "Rocket Man" at the end of the clip): https://www.instagram.com/p/CScKfIpn3Sc

Elton John defying ageism at Pop radio is something I don't think it will happen, independently that this is a collaboration with Dua Lipa, but I'm intrigued to see how Interscope is going to promote this and its performance at radio nonetheless. I'm wondering if they will try this at Hot AC and Triple A, in a lesser extent, though.

If it does hit the top 40, it would become his first top 40 hit in 24 years since he last hit the top 40 in 1997 with the songs "Something About the Way That You Look Tonight" and "Candle in the Wind '97"!

And his first top 50 since "Recover Your Soul" peaked at #47 in 1998. Very interested to see if this happens. I think he still holds the record for most top 40 hits with 55 for males (57 if you include top 50) and 8 of those are pre-R&R/Mediabase!

This is really good, love how Dua sings the chorus of Rocket Man in this song.

Very cute! Hope it does well. I'm not expecting big things but top 40 on CHR and placement on the Hot 100 would be a win, and would be cool to see Elton chart after a long time.

Yes! I really like this reimagining of two classics. Dua sounds great and the vocal effects / harmonies work very well. The production is smooth and a mood! I can see coming back to it often. Plus I love Sacrifice and Rocket man. I hope itβs a decent hit for EJ, ala Higher Love rather than Whatβs Love Got To Do With It. Iβm also all for support to older artists βbut I wouldnβt say the 90s were that kind eitherβ¦ Iβm still bitter that gems by Tina Turner and Donna Summer flopped. Same with Diana Ross and Bee Gees who had pretty good tunes in the decade

Considering that "Sacrifice" peaked at an underwhelming #18, it would be nice to see it outpace its original position.

This is really great and adds to original songs something fresh. I am totally obsessed, this might go all the way to no one, which means Elton will break some records and Weeknd has to wait 40 years to beat those...
