"What He Didn't Do" next or bust. That one has #1 career hit written all over it and "Diamondback" sounds like something that will be low-impact and limp to a #23 peak after an 11-month chart run.

Radio seems to be one step behind everyone else on here when it comes to Carly. Her label has trouble manufacturing her to Top 10/number 1 consistently, even when she has a killer song like this.

They literally only have to pass Luke….and Luke is going for number one after them so that shouldn’t be difficult. There is no pressure from behind and they will for sure get around Eric and the Dierks duet this week.
This will be fine. If I’m wrong, you can laugh at me in two weeks, but I’m not even remotely worried about this hitting number one.

Carly did a little q/a on her Instagram stories and said that she thought one more song off 29 deserved to be a single, and later when was asked if “What He Didn’t Do” would be, and she subtly confirmed it.
I’m so happy it’s next, literally my favorite song in the past 5 years. And so happy this one is looking to go #1 as well. It has by far exceeded my expectations.

"Never Wanted to Be That Girl" followed by "What He Didn't Do" would be the strongest back-to-back singles from an artist in the genre in long time. It's definitely the right choice.

What He Didn’t Do’s lyric video has over 6 million views on YT, and it has nearly 15 million streams on Spotify. Her fans are clearly passionate about this song, so i can’t wait to see how big it becomes once the masses get to hear it. Also glad Carly’s team and BMLG is FINALLY ending the tradition of leaving her best songs as album cuts. 🤦🏻♂️

Probably the strongest back to back punch since either Blown Away and Two Black Cadillacs or Church Bells and Dirty Laundry, for me.

I like Carly a lot but have been lukewarm to most of her music. This song I play a lot but, "What He Didn't Do," has been played by me even more. I hope it can be a huge hit because it's just a fantastic song. Far and away the best thing she's ever done.

I saw her open for Kenny on Saturday and the response to What He Didn't Do was on par with the response to Never Wanted to Be That Girl - it seems like a slam dunk to me.

I mostly pass on Carly and actively dislike her voice, but this single & especially "What He Didn't Do" are just home runs. They deserve to be smashes. I can't wait for her to release it.

Moves to #1 on the rolling chart today. Anyone know how BB is looking so far? The only song I think we have to look at is Never Say Never; I think it passed the others it was behind with zero issue.

If they can have updates like today (with NWTBTG and NSN), i would say it’s promising. Monday’s numbers usually tell the story if the label (or in this case labels) we’re pushing for both or just Mediabase. LOL - with Saturday’s updates this should get both. Holy push. 😂

One cool thing about this song and the Elle/Miranda song hitting #1 so close to each other is how different, but strong, the two songs are from one another.

So glad this hit #1 on both charts. No female-female duets hit #1 for like 30 years and then we go and have two within a month timespan. Beautiful.

I am a little sad this is going to only peak at #13 on the Hot Country Songs as that feels very low for a radio #1 song. I do love this song a lot and it is great to see it hit #1 but I doubt this has the longevity either of Carly Pearce's previous two #1 hits had. Hopefully "What He Didn't Do" can be both a huge consumer song and radio one as well

Yeah I’m a little disappointed at its low Hot Country Songs peak, and probably low hot 100 peak (63), as the predictions I’ve seen don’t have it setting a new peak. The consumer interest really dwindled down for this one the last few months of it’s chart run. I will still happily take these peaks though. Because when it was first released I was sure it would stall like “If I Was A Cowboy” is doing, but I’m so happy I was wrong.
It’s probably the best decision to have made this the single be released with the album, because I feel like if it was released third, I don’t know if it would have the hype to get it all the way up the chart with such ease as it did.
I think What He Didn’t Do is a great third single choice, as it’s still pulling in great streaming numbers (it actually only trails NWTBTG by only 3 million Spotify streams, despite not being in any playlists.) I’m really hopeful for that one, I’ve seen a lot of fans on Twitter asking for it as well.

I'm sorry. I should have continued the sentence by adding with two all-female duets. It certainly has been an historic year for country music in that regard. I would love to see more.

This is definitely a great song, and I'm happy to see it top the charts.
Hopefully "What He Didn't Do" will be announced soon and give Carly another #1.

I hope the lead single from Ashley's upcoming album will be released really soon. I am ready for some new Ashley solo music.

I will say that where this peaked might be disappointing, the timing of the push week was coincidentally probably one of the worst this year. Future had an album bomb that saw 16 new entries above this. I'd imagine that if he weren't releasing his album, this would've achieved a much better peak, potentially almost Top 50.
Even though the consumer interest did fall off for this song in the last few months, it is sometimes essential to note that timing is also crucial.

"What He Didn't Do" was already added to the Hot Country playlist on Spotify. All the signs are pointing in the right direction!
