Could not find a thread for this. This was a Marvin Gaye cover from her album "One In A Million". The intro briefly samples MJ's "Billie Jean".
Only peaked in the UK. #37 UK Singles, #10 UK Dance, and #4 UK R&B.
I prefer her version, tbqh. Such a fun, dance track.

I loved this when I first played the CD. It was so different for her at the time.

I really would only listen to the remix version from I Care 4 U; so to be reminded of Slick Rick on OIAM is one of the treats of having it available on streaming again.

I always thought this stuck out like a sore thumb on the album. Definitely my least favorite on there.

As slick as Slick Rick's name. Love it.

I always thought this stuck out like a sore thumb on the album. Definitely my least favorite on there. Same. I just donβt feel that it fit with the rest of the album at all, especially coming immediately after the far superior remake of Choosey Lover and before the greatness that is 4 Page Letter.
