The official Spotify playlist of all of the selected songs is here:
Spain is good but generic. I like Albania. Lots of safe songs this year, IMO. Latvia has a decent chance of winning just because their song is so over the top. And obviously there will be a lot of support for Ukraine, assuming they still are able to participate

These choices are way too safe. After last year saw the top 5 almost entirely consist of non-English songs with unique things going for them, I would have thought that this year's entries would be more exciting. At least I found a few that I really liked.

Switzerland over Austria? What a joke
Ronela's staging was a mess...not surprised she didn't qualify.

Pia Maria relied too much on backing vocals. And Albania was a disaster. Latvia should've been over Switzerland imo.

My biggest favourites tonight were The Netherlands, Ukraine, Greece, Lithuania, Latvia and Iceland. Also Croatia caught me.
Fortunately, apart from Latvia and Croatia, everyone else qualified. Although, I've would've liked Latvia and Croatia instead of Switzerland and Moldova.
The most I'm happy about Lithuania, because she had a bad running order slot and I wasn't sure if she'd qualify or not.

Yesterday my favourites were Estonia, Cyprus, Sweden, Finland, Belgium, North Macedonia and to some extent Azerbaijan.
So, I got 5 of my 7 favourites into the final. Just like on Tuesday😃
I know that Cyprus' vocals weren't the strongest, but I liked the presentation and the song was still so good...
Also, I'm really happy and interested to see us closing the final. Out of the years I've been watching the contest, I don't recall Estonia having the last slot before😄

here's where my head is at (not predictions, just what would leave me fully satisfied).
you can think of these as 5 blocks: 1-5 winning would be perfect, 6-10 would be a surprise but a rather pleasant one (I LOVE these but don't think they'll have enough jury/televote backing to win the whole thing), 11-15 would be a shock but I wouldn't be a complete hater, 16-20 would be undeserving imo, whether it's the song itself, vocals, or stage show quality overall, 21-25 would be complete bullshit winners.

Spain PULLING THROUGH with the jury was such a pleasant surprise for me. Edit: oh and let me add that Ukraine is a deserving winner. politics might have boosted their chances but politics play a role in results every year. life is political. international events are political. the song was great and the performance gave me chills. I'm guessing BBC/the UK might step in to host next year's event since they came in 2nd AND had already offered this before the contest even began.

Not really here for Ukraine's pity party to be honest. The song is OK, but based on the song I expected a TOP 10 placing at best.
The standouts this year were: Sweden, Italy, Serbia, Spain and UK.

My thoughts:
-Ukraine #1? Definitely expected this, but not 439/468 tele points...I don't know what to say, I like the song and stand with them, but I don't feel this win AT ALL. Top 5? sure. Win? naaah. Last year's entry deserved that #1 place.
-I definitely didn't expect Spain's 3rd place from jury, and I don't know how to feel about that, but with the 3rd place overall I'm totally fine. Even though I'm not the biggest fan of the song, she slayed the stage and definitely stood out in that boring final.
-UK, finally. That's all I'm going to say. Also, I'm with kim here, UK will probably host next year.
-I'm so happy for Serbia's top 5 finish!!! I love everything about this year's entry: originality, Konstrakta's personality, the song, the performance, the clapping, the message, that catchy chorus, just everything. One of my favorite ESC songs of all time, and definitely my winner this year. I'm glad she won that Artistic award too, so deserved.
-Good top 10 overall (yes at Portugal!!!!), I always love to see at least 4 or 5 non-English songs in the top 10. I'd only trade Italy's place in the top 10 for The Netherlands.
-Happy for Moldova's place too, they were like a breath of fresh air after 6-7 slow songs.
-Lithuania and Estonia in the top 15! Great result!
-I don't like #15-#17 (Australia, Azerbaijan, Switzerland - the bottom 3 on tele, and top 12 juries). NOT TO MENTION the fact that Azerbaijan is now the only song in history to qualify with 0 televote... I'd trade them for Czech Republic, France and Finland, those IMO deserved the top 20 much more. ALSO, Czech Rep got 125 from tele in the semi, and only 5 in the final? That sucks, opening in the final sucks.
OVERALL, I'm not impressed with this year's contest, especially when compared to last year. Predictable winner, that scandal with juries, not great organization, a kinetic sun without function, like 5 uptempo and 15 pessimistic songs in the final.

First of all, I'm soooo happy with Spain getting in top 3. I've been rooting for Chanel, her song and performance a lot since I first saw her performing in the first semi of Benidorm Fest.
She totally owned the stage and the performance stood out yesterday.
I didn't believe that she'd completely flop as Spanish most recent entries, but I was still cautiously optimistic when trying to predict the result she'd get. But,it was just awesome to see the jury love to the song and the enormous amount of televote points.
So, here my little essay about Spain ends. Just so happy with it🙂
Next, I'm satisfied with our (Estonia's) result. Stefan gave amazing performance and it made me glad to see the high amount of televote points he got. For sure, I'd have preferred to see more points from the juries especially as we got 3rd place from them in the semi. But let it be. Anyways, for me, it was such an amazing closer to this final and I'm proud of our entry this year!
In the final, I also liked Netherlands (was in my top 3 with Spain and Estonia), Finland, France, Norway (didn't like in the semi, but it grew on me so much during the final), Ukraine, Lithuania, Belgium, Greece, Sweden, UK.
So I'm happy for the ones who got great result and a bit sad for the ones who didn't do well. But, that's how it goes😃
Regarding Ukraine, I liked the song and it was in my top 10. Also, I totally stand with Ukraine in the current terrible situation they have to face at the moment. Also, I'm okay with them winning. But, I don't know how to feel about the massive amount of televote points they got. I'm not sure if the song was good enough to break the televote record.
Definitely, there were a lot of votes to show support for Ukraine. But, of course, in my opinion, it can't be said that it only got votes because of that. The song was good, catchy and Ukraine is one of the countries that usually does well. So, I believe that, in any case, they would've got a good result (top 10), maybe even won. But, definitely not that many televote points in the normal circumstances.
But, I also think they would've never won had they sent anything like Estonia 2008 (the most horrible song we ever sent). So, definitely having a good song also played a big role here for Ukraine.
Overall, it was another exciting Eurovision edition and, unfortunately, it's over for now. However, now I'll get better sleep haha.
I don't have a lot to complain about Italy's organization, but, of course, it would've been nice if the kinetic sun had worked and all the countries had got an opportunity to present their performances in the way they had planned to do that. 🙂
