Olivia really did snatch the spotlight. Billie was already fading into irrelevancy anyway

Both were massive. SOUR was massive on the charts & the hits whereas WWAFA,WDWG? was a huge moment for the pop culture. I gotta vote for Billie cause with much smaller hits she achieved something so rare and amazing, worldwide recognition.
ps: WHEN WE ALL FALL ASLEEP, WHERE DO WE GO? is one of my top 10 albums of all time so that probably affected my vote a little bit.

Billie felt like she had more cultural impact overall on Gen Z, but Olivia had the hits.

Sour has had more hot 100 success overall, but Bad Guy is bigger than any of the singles on Sour will end up being, and When the Party’s Over and Bury a Friend got most of their success without much of a radio push. Their rise was significantly more organic (or as organic as a pop album can be), whereas the industry went all in on Olivia Rodrigo the second Drivers License started blowing up.
Now as far as quality goes, I personally think Billie had the best high points while Olivia has been more consistent. They’re kinda on equal footing, but if I were to rank their combined singles 1. When the Party’s Over 2. Good 4 U 3. You Should See Me in a Crown 4. Bury a Friend 5. Deja Vu 6. Bad Guy 7. Drivers License 8. Brutal 9. Traitor 10. All the Good Girls Go to Hell 11. Wish You Were Gay
The only song I dislike is the last one, although I wouldn’t really seek out 9 or 10 either

Billie felt like she had more cultural impact overall on Gen Z, but Olivia had the hits. This is the answer. Olivia clearly has more hits, but her material is also more easily accessible. Billie has had a much bigger cultural impact, but the hits aren't quite matching that caliber as her music is a lot harder for your average listener to digest. That being said, both have already pretty much cemented themselves as iconic celebrities for their generation and will be long remembered for decades to come.

I preferred Billie's album by far. Olivia got the bigger number of hits but Billie made a bigger impact imo.
Love both albums and ladies tho.

This is so hard for me. Will 'Sour' ever match WWAFAWDG's sales in the end? How much did bundles affect the latter's lead? I think that should probably end the argument, although both are absolutely massive and have been sooo much fun to follow.

If we bring impact into the question then Billie wins, "duh." (as she once said herself) Good 4 U played a part in shifting music in a new direction but Billie's entire SOUND was new and pioneering
