Top 21 still CLB on Apple Music for the fifth day Guess he'll "continue to drop" lol Spotify is as important as apple music (if not more) on the charts but yeah at least you have apple music to be proud of (a platform with 90% of the charting songs being rap so it wasn't difficult for drake to be on top)...

Normally, Monday is the second or third biggest day for new albums, just because people go to work and commute and go to gym etc and try new music.

One can have the entire top 21 and still be dropping lol. He started at record breaking day 1 numbers, he's got plenty of room to fall before the old songs can catch up again.

STREAMING It's Drake's Day, So What's With All the Phony 'Certified Lover Boy' Albums on Spotify? By Chris Eggertsen 9/3/2021 Click to copy www.billboard.com/articles/business/streaming/9624967/drake-certified-lover-boy-fake-albums-spotify/"Alexa, play 'Certified Lover Boy' by Drake." "No, not that one." Drake’s Certified Lover Boy is one of the most anticipated albums of the year -- but if you’re using a smart speaker to listen to the long-awaited album on Spotify, you may have trouble hearing it. Since Certified Lover Boy’s release just last midnight EST, users of Amazon’s Alexa, Google’s Assistant and Apple’s Siri have been reporting problems getting their smart speakers to play the Toronto rapper’s long-awaited album on the streaming giant. When prompted, many note that music by same- or similarly-named albums or artists – including Certified Lover Boy Instrumentals by BenKeys Music and Certified Lover Boy by Calvin Drake – begin playing instead. The issue appears to be limited to smart assistants that have Spotify set as their default music player and cannot be replicated on Apple Music, Amazon Music and Google’s YouTube Music through those same devices. Notably, the problem extends to text searches on the Spotify app itself. A text search for “Certified Lover Boy Drake” on Spotify turns up an album entitled Drake by the artist Certified Lover Boy as the top result. When searching only for “Certified Lover Boy,” a Spotify-curated playlist of the entire album – but not the album itself – appears. Spotify did not immediately respond to Billboard’s request for comment. A source says Spotify is working with the music industry to address the issue, which is common among albums from major artists. Each DSP separately routes which albums, songs and playlists are surfaced when voice requests are made through Amazon’s Alexa. When reached for comment, Apple denied the problem was an issue with their hardware. Google did not respond to Billboard’s request for comment by press time. A quick text search of albums entitled “Certified Lover Boy” on Spotify turns up dozens of results, many of which appear to have been added to Spotify in the year since the album title was first revealed in August 2020, according to available statistics on the music data service Chartmetric. The BenKeys Music Certified Lover Boy Instrumentals album, to cite one example, appears to have been active on the platform since May of this year. The gaming of Spotify’s algorithm by unscrupulous users is nothing new. In November 2019, hip-hop label Sosa Entertainment and its founder, Jake Noch, sued Spotify for failing to pay royalties on over 550 million of streams on Sosa Entertainment’s music. Spotify countersued in May 2020, claiming Noch had directed a bot farmer to create millions of fake accounts and to change the names of songs in Sosa Entertainment’s catalog to resemble those of hits like XXXTentacion’s "SAD!" and DJ Snake’s "Taki Taki” in order to generate hundreds of millions of fraudulent streams. According to the lawsuit, one of Noch’s albums jumped from zero to more than 400,000 streams in mere days, 99% of which came from Spotify’s ad-supported free tier and from account registered to male users in the U.S., a pattern that was found for other works as well. That and this latest incident open questions about the ease with which Spotify users can manipulate the DSP’s system in order to siphon streams and associated royalties away from legitimate artists.

lol, this was the worst kept secret. Most of us knew Hurricane was going to be the lead single from Donda for about a month now. I fully expect Drake to follow suit and make Way 2 Sexy the lead single from CLB.

So it helps that it didn't have a hit before or not? with so many playlists and promo on streaming platforms the album didn't need a hit to secure longevity..the album is just bad.. the people heard it the first day, didn't like it,they moved on.. simple as that..he deserves to start 'underperforming'...it needs to happen one day.he can't release mediocre material and still doing big numbers...

Not the underperform talk on a record breaking week for streams, even if frontloaded. Let's discuss that if and when the week 2 fall down to earth.
FWIW not having a hit single means longevity is gonna suffer, but Drake was always going to stream well on debut.

‘Certified Lover Boy’ Out-Streamed ‘Donda’ in Just Three Days While Kanye’s latest album was a commercial smash, Drake continues to prove that he’s untouchable on the charts. In late August, much ado was being made about the potential charts battle brewing between Kanye West and Drake, who had, for years, maintained a relatively benign on-again, off-again beef, but never actually duked it out on the charts. But Donda, Kanye’s 10th studio album, dropped five days before Certified Lover Boy, Drake’s sixth, meaning it had no problems whatsoever taking the Number One spot on the Rolling Stone Top 200 Albums Chart.
But if they had gone head to head? It wouldn’t have been close.
In just three days, Certified Lover Boy has already out-streamed Donda, according to Alpha Data, the analytics provider that powers the Rolling Stone Charts. From Friday through Sunday alone, Certified Lover Boy saw over 430 million on-demand audio streams in the U.S. By comparison, Donda pulled in just under 423 million in its first eight days on streaming.
Donda was, by all accounts, a commercial smash. Despite having just five days’ worth of activity in its first tracking week, it broke the record for the biggest RS 200 debut of 2021 so far. All of the album’s 27 songs landed on the Top 100 Songs Chart, marking the second most simultaneous entries in the chart’s history. But no one comes close to Drake on the charts. He holds the record for the most weeks atop the Artists 500 chart and is repeatedly the biggest artist of the year. Kanye, meanwhile, tops the Artist 500 Chart for just his second time this week, as he typically comes in somewhere in the low 20s.
For Drake, the only real competition is with himself. Certified Lover Boy has the potential to break the record for the biggest streaming debut in Alpha Data history. After just three days, it already ranks second, behind only Scorpion. Scorpion pulled in just over 725 million streams in its first week.
Stay tuned for the final version of the RS 200 on Monday to see just how big Certified Lover Boy ends up.
P.S. With 3 days, it is the 2nd biggest streaming week.

Day 1: Drake is doing VERY well
Days 2 & 3: Yeah, Drake's doing very well, but its poor hold shows underpreformance
Day 4: . . . So he WAS doing VERY well

And Rolling Stones' streaming numbers tend to be less than Billboard's, they have 725 million streams for Scorpion when Billboard had it at 746 million.

With the adjusted HDD projections it looks like CLB is still on pace to surpass 700 million streams.

I’m glad they put this out and just effectively ended all the inaccurate discussion towards their first weeks lmao. Like people saying Donda would’ve outstreamed if they both had a full week with Friday night release. Trying to figure out how 8 days with less streams than 3 days is a close competition.

It’d be so insane if CLB really snatched the record for album with most top 10 hits WITHOUT even having any pre-singles tacked on.

Are BTS taking donations to block Drake at #1? Not Drake making you mad enough to dip into the 401K fund

This is probably not a surprise for any of us:
Im both unsurprised and shook. TikTok is addictive, but it’s not user-friendly at ALLLL. You watch a funny TikTok and forget to save it? You’ll never see it again. However, it’s influencing pop culture in a huge way, kinda like early YouTube.
