I love it! Not exactly what I would've asked for in a Christmas song, but I love the lyrics and with repeated listens its charm really sets in. The ending is especially catchy, I wish that repeated "Christmas isn't cancelled" was used more throughout the song - it's stuck in my head.
I'm dead at the video though, when she literally kicked him to the curb I howled.

The song is quite an ear worm, I much prefer it to Under the Mistletoe. I won’t bother comparing it to UTT because that song set the bar so high for all her Christmas originals but I think it’ll get the job done for her this season.

OMG, this is the perfect 1st single for 2nd Christmas album. It's so catchy and festive and makes me happy!
I love the lyrics like "Underneath My Tree", "Underneath That Mistletoe", "A Winter Dream" and "All My Favorite Things" and they remind me feel her chronicles of previous holiday songs.
Especially, so surprised with great vocal skills again. I'm totally overwhelmed!
Also, I LOVE HER SONGWRITING on christmas music. She knows to make them best.

There's an absolutely stunning B5-C#6 riff at the very end, buried in the "Christmas isn't cancelled x1000" refrain. Has me perched for the rest of the vocals on this album <3

It’s interesting that over the last 6-8 months, she seems to have had an increase in confidence with her upper chest belts and now is just throwing around G5, G#5s like she did in 2012 and 2013 like they are nothing. |

That autographed Christmas box set is MINE. Posted a full(er) review in the single thread but after a few listens I'm loving this. I think the lyrics are the best part of the song, interestingly enough--so many fun callbacks, Brandon roasting on an open fire...inject it into my veins. Chorus is already stuck in my head. Ms. Trainor could literally never. ...um, why did this make me tear up tho |

Literally no Christmas song will ever compare to Underneath The Tree.
But this song is so fun, and I think will resonate with SO many people. Being single around the holidays can suck, and having a song that celebrates not having any romance in your life around the holidays is a nice change compared to the majority of popular holiday songs.
She’s never sounded better, I’m glad her non-holiday album will wait until after Adele, and I can’t wait to see what she has planned for this Christmas.

This song is awesome. I'm gonna have to resist listening to it more cause it's way too early for Christmas music for me (after Halloween is when I start listening to it non-stop really until the new year).
You wouldn't even believe how the lyric "you ruined all my favorite things / all my favorite things / but you won't take Christmas from me" spoke to me. That has literally been my mantra for years now.
And the lyric video is fantastic. I can't wait to hear the rest of the album.

I’m just gonna give it to my mom since she still listens to CDs. |
