20th anniversary is coming up later this week! It was her 8th studio album released on 1 October 2001 internationally by Parlophone and later launched in the United States on 26 February 2002 by Capitol Records. Kylie had worked with writers and producers such as Cathy Dennis, Rob Davis, Richard Stannard, Julian Gallagher, TommyD, Tom Nichols, Pascal Gabriel and others to create a disco and Europop-influenced dance-pop album. Other musical influences of the album range from synth-pop to club music.
The album was a commercial success, peaking at number one in Australia, Austria, Germany, Ireland, and the UK. In the US, the album peaked at number three on the Billboard 200 chart, becoming Minogue's biggest album in the country; it was certified platinum by the Recording Industry Association of America (RIAA). Fever was also certified seven-times platinum by the Australian Recording Industry Association (ARIA), and five-times platinum by the British Phonographic Industry (BPI). It won the International Album accolade at the 2002 Brit Awards ceremony.
This album is making me feel super nostalgic for the early 2000s. I love EVERY single track on this album, including the international bonus tracks. It puts me in such a good mood every time I listen to it. It's my second fave Kylie album after "Body Language". I can still remember seeing "Can't Get You Out Of My Head" the first time on TRL. I was either 13 or 14 around that time. That's how I got to know Miss Minogue. Share your memories from this epic, spectacular era!

Up there as one of the best pop albums not only of the decade but of all time tbh.
The singles are the best songs but the album tracks are no joke either, don't even get me started on the visual eye candy of the music videos.

Each video was on point!! This is the most-played album of my life and what made her my #1 favorite artist (tied with Janet Jackson). It was so great to actually experience her most successful period in the USA firsthand while I was a pre-teen. Hearing LAFS and CGYOOMH at the pool in the summer, seeing her videos on MTV & VH1, watching the album continue to sell all year long, trying to find the radio versions of LAFS and CIMW on the early internet... What fun times - I'm sure my parents were sick of hearing this album being played in our house. Please enjoy this playlist I made to celebrate. It's an expansion of the Japanese 'Hyper Edition' and includes the canceled "Alone Again" which was originally going to be a double A-side with "Come Into My World." youtube.com/playlist?list=PLM1Bub_c8_eaRs0PZ5cYIhSSo3mNAfcm_

In my endeavor to listen to an album a day, this happens to me the album of today!
It's still so slick. I can't believe how few people tried to copy the sound given how successful it was.
