Posted this in the other thread, but she's gonna hit 20M global streams fairly easily. 10M in the US is not out of the question. That's INSANE!

Is possible for Adele's old songs to re-enter or debut on Top 50 if they aren't completed 20 weeks on Hot 100? I saw that 'Love in the Dark' debuted in the UK.

10 million streams in a single day in the US is just....mindblowing.

10 million is too much. Looking at yesterday's numbers, US numbers (289k) are 33.68% of 858k. Based on this, US is just 1/3 of total numbers, so my prediction is 7 - 7,5M.

Even if she doesn't get old songs back on the hot 100, she's definitely getting some old hits on the Spotify charts

Does not seem like the pure sales will be 'Hello' levels astronomical, based on the first day at iTunes. But will be the highest non-BTS digital sales in a while.
Finished first day with about 10x a lead over "Fancy Like", unless Pop Bars are absolutely glitching incorrectly. That song is selling 20-30k a week, which is 3.5k~ a day.
10x 3.5k = about 35k~ first day sales. So maybe this will do 75-125k sales first week.

OK so we all agree Adele is the better choice there...? Especially since GLG is one of the worst tracks on Certified Lover Boy and Drake's career. What is that song? oh the one that took away the spotlight from better and actual quality songs on the album that are 10 trillion times better like Knife Talk and Fair Trade? Yeah if Adele doesn’t beat this record, i don’t know what will. Maybe Rihanna’s comeback i guess. I just don’t want the record to be GLG.

Already confirmed by Spotify that she overtook single day records with hours to spare.

Another record falls down.
I don't expect Apple Music to follow suit though, it's doing well but that platform favors rap and URB-leaning music.

I wasn't too worried about Adele's transition into the streaming era but I'm glad to see those tiny bits of doubt I had being completely shattered

Yes! Go, Adele! It's so great to see another one of my faves slaying numbers-wise upon return. No one else I'd rather have break Drake's streaming records. I don't know how possible it'll be but I hope 30 also manages to break CLB's first-day Spotify record as well and I definitely want Adele to break the current streaming record for a female album on the Billboard 200. These are the 20 biggest streaming weeks and the highest album for a female act is at #16 from an album released almost 3 years ago: 1. Scorpion - 745 million 2. Certified Lover Boy - 743 million 3. Tha Carter V - 433 million 4. Beerbongs & Bentleys - 431 million 5. Legends Never Die - 423 million 6. Eternal Atake - 400 million 7. Scorpion (2nd week) - 391 million 8. More Life - 385 million 9. Hollywood's Bleeding - 365 million 10. Donda - 357 million 11. Astroworld - 349 million 12. Eternal Atake (2nd week) - 349 million 13. DAMN. - 341 million 14. The Off-Season - 325 million 15. KOD - 323 million 16. thank u, next - 307 million 17. Certified Lover Boy (2nd week) - 305 million 18. SOUR - 300 million 19. Scorpion (3rd week) - 290 million 20. Folklore - 289 million
I hope 30 gets to at least 350 million and preferably much higher. It's about time.

*Yet another take on Adele’s new song* Easy On Me is really basic but it makes sense as the lead single I guess. I really hope she has more experimental/different sounds in the album because if all the songs are just piano ballad types I’m afraid she’ll flop in today’s musical climate

Adele is entirely separate from whatever the music climate is. Adele doesn’t need to fit the trends of pop music forums- even if we’d like a Peppa x Adele Hyperpop song any real change would be a flop I doubt she’ll have anything more adventurous than Send My Love to Your New Lover on her album and that’s alright - it’ll still be beloved and smash

I think things turned out just fine for her.

YouTube has Easy On Me debuting at 17.4m global streams & 3.6m US streams on its daily charts.
The music video surpassed 20 million views after 12 hours, so I'm assuming that only counted 10-12 hours.

Adele won't flop this era but I do wonder what's their plan for the singles. She kinda half assed 25 after Hello. The way she keeps trying to lower expectations doesn't signal that we should expect too many videos.

The way she keeps trying to lower expectations doesn't signal that we should expect too many videos. They definitely thought 'Hello' momentum would just carry through with minimal effort. WWWY was the wrong 2nd single - it should've been WUTB then followed by SML in late spring/summer (as they did). WUTB coming out a year after 'Hello' + 5 months after SML was bizarre. Radio was tepid, despite really good callouts - it was just too late for WUTB.

Young Thug! Young Thug will be happening! How high do we see the Drake & Travis collab getting which will almost inevitably be the biggest debut from it

Here's what Young Thug's presence on AM looks like after about 24 hours of PUNK being released: #2. Bubbly (feat. Drake and Travis Scott) #5. Stressed (feat. J. Cole and T-Shyne) #7. Rich N**** Shit (feat. Juice WRLD) #8. Die Slow (feat. Strick) #9. Recognize Real (feat. Gunna) #12. Peepin Out The Window (feat. Future & Bslime) #13. Livin It Up (feat. Post Malone & A$AP Rocky) #14. Stupid/Asking #15. Contagious #18. Road Rage #20. Insure My Wrist (feat. Gunna) #21. Scoliosis (feat. Lil Double 0) #23. Yea Yea Yea #24. Droppin Jewels #25. Faces #27. Day Before (feat. Mac Miller) #31. Fifth Day Dead #34. Icy Hot (feat. Doja Cat) #39. Love You More (with Nate Ruess, Gunna & Jeff Bhasker) #42. Hate The Game
Curious to see how much of this was due to the album being released at 3AM rather than at midnight

That'd be nice.
