This is easily my least favorite of the singles. It borders on parody.

I feel like I'm at the culmination of my boredom with him. He's just a tribute act to this vintage sound. It's almost creepy. He's like what I imagine cheesy, tribute acts on second rate Vegas shows are.
This song doesn't stink, in spite of some lyrics that made me cringe, but like I said he's just so fucking boring to me at this point... running this sound into the ground. Hope he gets it out of his system with this record (as well) and moves on to something else next.

I love it, and I love the corny lyrics. I think I might like it better than "Leave the Door Open" but, I definitely understand the parody complaints. As I was watching the video, I kept saying in my head (OMG I love it, but it's gonna be polarizing as hell). He definitely needs something new (and I'm not talking about doing 60s Motown or 2000s rap/singing).

I love the sound he's going for obviously. Production, vocals, harmonies and melodies on point.
But yeah, those lyrics... it's coming off as parody. It's the risk he runs being such a slave to his influences. He's tread that line several times in the past, but he kinda crossed it with this one.

I guess they ran out of talent so quickly, of course they stick to the same sound, but the same goes when something gets boring. And this is boring and average beyond belief. Yep, there was always the question who will win - the talent of Anderson Paak or the mediocrity of Bruno Mars. And Bruno can proudly declare himself a winner. They stroke the gold with the first single, but that should have been it. Doing an album because one song went well is not reason enough. I cannot imagine listening to the whole album of "that seventies sound" even once.

The song is cool. I feel it needs a feature so it doesn't come off so much like Open rehash. This is definitely better than "Skate"; however, that's not saying much.

Not them referring to a woman as a "bitch" in this song... I swear you and the LTDO (or was it the 'Skate') thread? is what I thought of when they said that.

Not them referring to a woman as a "bitch" in this song... Yeah it's just entirely disrespectful and appalling that they had to use that kind of language against a woman in this song, Like first they objectified women in "Skate" and now this.

Yet you clearly leave out Leave the Door Open where they are respectfully pursuing their love interest, emphasizing consent in their messaging. Please don't come in here with this narrative.

This is decent. It definitely grew on me while I was listening. I’ll give it a few more listens to know for sure

LTDO remains the only thing I've loved from them thus far but I like this more than Skate.

This is growing on me. I like it more than "Skate" now. The other two singles were instant for me, but "Skate" burned quickly.
