Morgan Wallen is featured on Lil Durk's new single "Broadway Girls". Oh boy, sure can't wait for this thread to be fully civil.

So the Morgan Wallen featured song didn't do much last week, but he has remixed Lil Durk's Broadway Girls and it is on the NMF playlist (just below the Vince Gill/Mickey Guyton collab, lol)
EDIT: actually not remixed because the song is originally his.

The FKA Twigs/The Weeknd song is nice, not sure if it'll be a hit of any kind though.
Aaliyah's single is pointless. Why couldn't they just let her rest in peace? It's 2:42 long and still feels like an interlude. The Weeknd even sings the chorus.

It seems like Stay will be to 2022 what Mood was to 2021, some great longevity on radio and the charts, but nothing groundbreaking. I'm predicting it'll be Top 5 on the YE.

kcdawg13 I guess one could also call it mediocre but to me, it's bad. I don't think I'll be going back to more than 4 songs out of the 18 songs on the album. That registers as a bad album to me. His last album was great and his mixtape before that album was even better. This is damn near unlistenable. I thought I was one of a few possible people who felt that way but across other music forums and on Twitter, some of his biggest fans are dragging the album.

Radio refusing to let go of Easy On Me and Stay could make for a boring 2022 chart year. Itβs hard to get excited about the upcoming when you know 40% of the Top 5 is pretty much a forgone conclusion before the actual calendar year begins. |

I've listened to Tears in the Club 3-4 times now and I've of two minds. On one hand, it's far from the best thing either Twigs or Abel have done so you could view it as a disappointment, especially as it's a swerve from the art pop on MAGDALENE. On the other hand, it's really really catchy so I can see it growing on me and even both my standards for FKA and The Weeknd are really high of even an alright song from either is better than most of contemporary R&B.
