Why Not Me is a tribute Eric Church wrote after the mass shooting in Las Vegas, which talks about survivor's guilt. He debuted the song in a surprise Grand Ole Opry appearance, the video of which had over 7 million views on Youtube in two days, but he has never released on anywhere else. He also sang this during both nights of his recent residency in Country Music Hall Of Fame. In my opinion, it's obviously his best "unreleased" song. Imagine a performer that was not even performing that night having such a strong emotion towards the massacre! Every word becomes so powerful that it can become overwhelming, but it's ultimately a feeling that many have to go through. gardyfan loses his last place ranking (why?). bboat11, .indulgecountry and someguy got a perfect ranking.

This is going really well for me, not surprisingly, looking at the number of perfect rankings that I got Rooting for Does To Me and Man Made A Bar here.

"The World Needs A Drink" is far from being Terri Clark's best song, but I've gotta say it is just MADE for her overall carefree personality and honky-tonk vibe as an artist! The song just doesn't quite match Eric's vibe, even if he is one of the songwriters (something I didn't know until just now).
I was impressed with Eric's falsetto in both of the rock songs! It actually sounded convincingly similar to the way a rock star would have sang them. Which is especially impressive considering how far removed that is from Eric's usual vocal wheelhouse.
This top five is pretty expected! Although I'm 99% sure we're going to see "Bible and a .44" win its third rankdown with its third different artist

You probaby know Hallelujah by Leonard Cohen more than me, so I don't have to talk about the original much. What I love about EC's version though is his raw intensity. Yes the lyrics are repetitive, but his delivery in each instance is as emotional as others. I couldn't imagine what I would feel if I can experience this live! bboat11 and Tim probably agree and put this at #2, while .indulgecountry doesn't see it but put this at bottom two instead. someguy got a perfect ranking.

"Hallelujah" is one of those songs that is just so hauntingly great that I almost always love it. I know it also has a bit of a reputation for being TOO popular, and that many people think it is overrated and overdone, so I'm not surprised to see it leaving first out of the top 5.
"Man Made A Bar" has grown on me a LOT since I first heard it. It's one of Morgan Wallen's stronger offerings, at least.
Modern Keith Urban sucks ass, so "We Were" needs to go next. I certainly didn't help rank it as low as I expected to going into this, but yeah... No Keith Urban song from the last 7-8 years should EVER be in the top 2 of a rankdown.

EC's collab with Morgan Wallen is of course one of the most talked about songs at MW's album release because he has said numerous times Eric's influence on him, and Eric already kind of gave a song (Quittin' Time) to me in his previous album. We have also ranked this song about a modern twist of The Book of Genesis in New Country Releases rankdown already (11th out of 28), so it should be no surprise that it will do well here. Personally though? I don't care about it, even though EC gave the best vocal among the features on the album. I guess I just don't really like the biblical twist, and feel it tries too hard to pander to certain people. I get why EC wants to sing that particular part though (see: Jukebox and a Bar), but the song is still easily the worst here. Quitting Time is much better. As the only ranks outside of top 6 are from me and castleoblivion26 (they are both last place ranks even), this is the runaway highest SD song.

Lol good. Like I said, modern Keith Urban belongs nowhere NEAR the top of a rankdown. He simply hasn't been good enough since about 2011.

We Were is the second Keith/Eric collab (and also single) since Raise 'Em Up. Original a solo version with Eric being a songwriter, the remix version featuring Eric on vocals and slightly more pop-leaning production was released later. I somewhat like this as it's quite refreshing to see EC sings in basically a country pop song, and his delivery of some lines are more remarkable than Keith's, especially the last line when it sounds more optimistic than the original. They have better vocal chemistry than Luke/Eric or Morgan/Eric as well. Condolences to @castleoblision26 for losing your #1 but at least you lose it after losing your last place, which cannot be said for me. .indulgecountry got a perfect ranking.

Exactly the finish that I expected all along. "Does To Me" is one of the few Luke Combs hits that I have never quite gotten tired of for some reason, so it was honestly a pretty easy #1 for me heading into this rankdown.
But "Bible and a .44" is just such a well-written and well-loved song, I knew all along that it would reign supreme. I misspoke earlier when I said this was going to be the third different version of this song to win a rankdown, as I went back and realized that the Trisha/Patty version finished at #3 in the Every Girl album rankdown. But Ashley's version won the Jalopies & Expensive Guitars rankdown, and now Eric/Ashley won again with this one! Overall a pretty exemplary performance for this song!
Edit: Somehow we missed including "Bible and a .44" in Patty's Extras rankdown!!! It would have probably been another big contender there. Although it wouldn't have had an easy time unseating "Dear Miss Loretta" and "House Of Cash", it would have been a possibility! (And at the very least probably could have pulled off another top 3 finish. The actual #3 was Chris Young's "Love Won't Let Me Down". A fantastic song, but it doesn't have as much of a noteworthy fan following.)

It feels obvious which song will win between Does To Me and Bible And A .44, but only 3 points separate from them in the final result. Does To Me after all has strong performances in previous rankdowns, including #14/100 in 2020 Country rankdown and #3 in album rankdown, but Bible And A .44 is even stronger, as bboat11 mentioned above, it has won the Ashley's pre major label album rankdown and was third in Trisha's latest album rankdown, and bagged the second win in this rankdown! Unfortunately like his collab with Morgan, I still found Does To Me to be underwhelming. The message is solid, but the sound is clearly Luke Combs in his radio fodder era i.e. just sounds like almost every other Luke Combs song at that time. Also, I am still puzzled why this song does not even have a live performance featuring Eric, not even in concerts. Not to mention the music video being a cheap "fan-made" lyrics video. It's almost like they regret putting this out lol. I was a bit hesitant to include Bible And A .44 in this rankdown at first because it would be the obvious winner, but the competition is close. Besides, this is a moment of EC giving a deserved shine to then lesser-known artists, and eventually the critic darlings. It's a great song on its own right, and EC is a good support. Condolences to HeyHeyHey, 🌺CountryLineDancer and bboat11 for just losing their top songs just before the submit, and congratulations to castleoblivion26 and gardyfan for a perfect ranking at #2, and @counryboi and .indulgecountry for a perfect ranking for winner. someguy especially got a perfect top two.
