And our final loss before the top 15 is a multi-#1 loss, much to the chagrin of austin and fireflies. "Thinking 'Bout You" was a very solid performer here, It wasn't always in the top 20, but it did spend much of the rd in the top 25, and in the end did well enough to finish on the cusp of the top 15! This was praised as one of Pulse's favorites of the year from the moment it was released as a duet with Lauren Alaina. It was unfortunate that she didn't end up getting to have her version released to radio, but at the same time I don't think MacKenzie Porter really diminished anyone's enjoyment of the song. Both women knocked it out of the park, and it was really nice to see MacKenzie getting a huge hit to her name!

Wow, totally forgot about THIS mess. "Thinking' Bout You" top 20? lmao. Dustin Lynch... used to love him, now I really can't stand him tbh. Eh he's probably not thinkin' 'bout you either.

I don't really need a Reba McEntire addition to Dear Rodeo tbh. That being said the fact that this is viewed as too rodeo for country radio by some PDs is a mess of the format, especially some songs like Thinking 'Bout You being a hit (overexaggerated by Christmas freeze).

ok seriously where the hell is whiskey and rain, i thought that was gonna go out in the 30s or 40s or something Uh... not sure what made you think that lol. Pulse has always adored that song, generally speaking. I would have been legit STUNNED if it had left before the top 20, and I'm not surprised at all to see it make the top 15. And usually I expect Michael Ray out sooner rather than later, but "Whiskey and Rain" is loved on here.

While I prefer Lauren Alaina's version, MacKenzie Porter did a great job as a replacement. The music video was fun too.
I was very glad Dustin still released this as a late single even though Lauren bowed out. I'm also glad that Billboard had both MacKenzie and Lauren credited in its Hot 100 run!

Considering that the top 10 would make it to the decade end RD in 10 yrs (lol), I don’t want Stapleton to make it to there. I tanked it pretty hard, (and I hope so did indulge), so it should exit. Still, it was like one of the best songs in the Madness game for me…
Other predictions would be What’s Your Country Song Lady Like We Were Rich If I Didn’t Love You

Still, it was like one of the best songs in the Madness game for me… Sadly I didn't tank it as hard as I could have because it's a halfway decent song and better than many of his singles for me -- plus there was quite a lot of outright bad stuff on the list -- but I am a bit disappointed by how much it's overstaying. :/

Um can we squeeze more than 10 songs in the top 10 because some of these missing the top 10 would be tragic... "Drunk (and I Don't Wanna Go Home)" is probably the one I want to see leave the most but given how much the other tractors here adore it, I don't think that's happening. It's not as amazing as people make it out to be

Hell Of A View - Eric Church We Were Rich - Runaway June What’s Your Country Song - Thomas Rhett Whiskey And Rain - Michael Ray You Should Probably Leave - Chris Stapleton
I could see McBryde or Lainey Wilson getting switched out for Stapleton instead though.

I'm sorry, yesterday kinda got away from me... I didn't even get a chance to log in to Pulse until after midnight! But I'm here now, and I'm ready to start finishing this up if anyone is around to follow along with me! But first, we've got to figure out which songs are going to miss the top 10

After creating quite the stir lately by its mere presence in the top 20, and then even the top 15, the next song to bow out is indeed Michael Ray's "Whiskey and Rain". This song was widely praised on Pulse when it was released last spring, as Michael legitimately seemed to tap into his country roots that LBTrocks always SWORE were there even though he had done nothing but try to be a bro country artist for two entire album eras previously But lo and behold, he was right that Michael's got this sort of sound in him, and he sounds pretty great while doing it! This ended up being a multi- #1 loss for LBTrocks and castleoblivion26 .

I loved the guitar lick in the intro of "Chasing After You", but unfortunately found the song itself to be pretty underwhelming and boring...
Nevertheless, fans of it will be pleased to see that it was the only song we have seen so far that has been a top 20 contender for the entire rankdown! This was a very powerful performer here, even though it was never really on pace to be a top 10 finisher outside of the first couple lists.
