I am getting so excited, I’ve had Last Day of Summer on repeat in the dead of winter lol.
Also, did anyone see her Vice mini doc on the story of Man! I Feel Like a Woman?
The first few minutes they of course told the story of Timmons, her parents death, and Deerhurst.
But the remaining was a deep dive into the writing process, composition, production and isolated instruments and vocals!!
They also talked about the music video and what the song means to the LGBT community and drag queens!!!!

I think they should try “Giddy Up!” at radio. It really brings the nostalgic Shania vibes and has potential for a viral moment.

Queen of Me is 27 bucks + HST on Amazon Canada. Like wtf. I really don't buy albums anymore only from my absolute favorites but this out of my budget. I hope my local wal mart carries it at some point or AMazon lowers the price.

Giddy Up reminds me of something from Jessica Simpson's A Public Affair album, but much better. It really needs to be pushed and all over TikTok so the kids can make it a hit. I can't wait for this album!

I feel like Shania is really going for it this era. Already it’s much more exciting than “Now.” Which I understand because it was a darker album following a long absence in her career. It feels like a comeback!

Every so often, I wonder how much higher Shania's Hot 100 peaks would be for the 8 singles from The Woman in Me plus "Love Gets Me Every Time," "Don't Be Stupid (You Know I Love You)," "Honey I'm Home." And also whether Country Airplay would've been enough to push "You're Still The One" to #1.

When I first heard Giddy Up I was slightly disappointed but it’s def proving to be a grower.
Shania cooking (not really) with current hottie Gianluca/qcp was a clever move, it gave her instance access to his 11 million followers.

Shania performed "It's Beginning to Look A Lot Like Christmas," "Christmas (Baby Please Come Home)," and "Santa Claus is Coming to Town" during the National Christmas Tree Lighting Ceremony in Washington, D.C. The event was aired as a special on CBS. I'm waiting to see if CBS or Shania post a YouTube clip; however, there are audio-only clips on YouTube. She sounds much, much better on "Christmas (Baby Please Come Home)," but I'm grumpy about the mix. Her mic should have been turned up more! |

Before that, it was a weird mix of Pop, Rhythmic, AC, HAC, Alternative, and Mainstream Rock. AAA might have been part of it too. Funnily enough some of those formats had artists who rarely released singles, so they still couldn't chart even with a big genre airplay hit. |
