The Tribal/Ragga anthem originally came out in 1994 as David Morales & The Bad Yard Club featuring Delta. New remixes in 1996 were done with Crystal Waters adding additional vocals. Last year J Balvin and Skrillex did a partial remake of it that was a moderate hit in certain parts of the world. Some had wondered if David Morales who originally wrote this would remix the remake or something so recently he brought in the original vocalist Delta for this new version.
I was a HUGE fan of the original version from 1994 with the full Delta vocals (the main 10 minute mix). It got mixshow play here for years and years and when I started DJing I sought out the record. I like the version with the Crystal vocals but I wish it had the full Delta vocals as it only has the chorus and then the male rap vocals and some of the variations are just Crystal. I did like the J Balvin remake because it was such an odd, unexpected choice of song to remake but it worked. This new track is pretty well done for an official remake that really isn't. It just incorporates some of what made the original great. I like it though. The full one is where it shines.
