Glad that Rolling In The Deep missed top 20 at least. It would have been a bit annoying if it did make it. Also I figured that Bohemian Rhapsody would be higher, but I was hoping that Don't Stop Me Now would beat Another One Bites The Dust, the former is a lot better imo. Also Total Eclipse Of The Heart needs to leave asap, that's the only true outlier at this point.

Lots of people will rank it high but even doing this I'm seeing quite a few posts with distaste towards the song lol

Thoughts on #30-21: 30. I really like "I Want You Back" and it's such a fun song and a classic. Not surprised or mad seeing it making it to #30 even if I had it a little lower. Shocked seeing this having the 2nd highest Standard Deviation though. 29. Also really like "Under Pressure" a lot and consider this a classic too. Hmmm I'm not sure about seeing my ranking lower for this than IWYB but shows how tricky it was ranking this list of songs. 28. Love "Careless Whisper" and pleased with seeing it ranked this high even though I wouldn't have minded it being even higher. 27. Good on "House of the Rising Sun" making it this far. This is a great classic song although I do prefer many other cover versions over the original. Even though not my favorite, I can get the two #1s for this. 26. "Ain’t No Mountain High Enough" is a fun classic and great song. Well done to this making it here. And very cool seeing that this was the host's #1 song. :o 25. I like "Hey Jude" but it's not a favorite of mine so yay finally for this showing up. My least favorite of the songs to show up so far. But again, I know and understand that it's a classic. 24. Really LOVE "Uptown Funk" and so super happy seeing this song make it to the Top 25 at #24. Oh woww I forgot that I had this at #3. :omg: I do really love this and think of it as a Top 10 but not sure if that's too high? But such a great modern day 2010s classic song for sure. I'm hoping this was the highest of the 2010s songs but not sure if it is. Oh wait, then I saw the next post mentioned "Rolling in the Deep" so it isn't. 23. Oooh I do really love "Rolling in the Deep" but ahh kinda bummed that UF wasn't the highest 2010s song. But still I really love this and it's another modern day 2010s classic for me. Such an amazing song from Adele. But ooof two Top 10 loses. Hopefully that ends for the rest of today's reveals. 22. Love "Don’t Stop Me Now" and think this is a really fun song from Queen. Happy with its ranking although I would have preferred the previous two songs higher. 21. Ugh I said I didn't want to lose any more Top 10 rankings today. Lmaooo I'm teasing. I really love "Lose Yourself" and think it's such an iconic and classic 2000s rap song. Eminem at his best, for sure! I really wish this could have squeezed into the Top 20 but oh well. :'( #21 is still great!

Under Pressure ranked higher on here than it did in the 1981 Alt Rankdown Also, the oldest one left is "Stand by Me" by Ben King (1961), and the most recent one is The Weeknd's "Blinding Lights" (2020)
Of the songs by decade: 1960's: 2 songs 1970's: 5 songs 1980's: 8 songs 1990's: 2 songs 2000's: 2 songs 2010's: 0 songs 2020's: 1 song

Okay look this list is super duper strong I can't be that mad at any one specific song's performance (except IWALY) but none of the 2010s songs making top 20 is DUMB.

Tbh I kinda tanked alot of 2010s songs just because while alot of them were good, I just liked most of the classics on here even more. But I didnt tank Blinding Lights.

Not "I Want You Back", of all songs, having the second highest SD lol
Considering I wasn't even sure that The Animals would even make the top 40, top 30 is fine, and I don't really have much of an issue with the remaining songs.

When you just realize that Paint It Black and Total Eclipse Of The Heart have a similar intro, kind of...

30. I Want You Back - Jackson 5Nice cute Pop song. This is like me digging K-Pop, but these little bops are fun. 29. Under Pressure - Queen & David BowieA good slot for this song. Anything between 25 and 30 would be honest. I've praised this one many a time. Here is a song that has stood the test of tuime and beyond. Queens Epicness is present as always but Bowie keeps the song firm on the ground without letting it go overboard. 28. Careless Whisper - George Michaeland just like that we are back to nothing making sense. To see the greatest Pop viocalist of all time missing the top 5 and in this case msissing the top 20 is traumatizing to say the least. To say this is anything less better than any 90's and up song song is giving a slap in the face to true great pop. Give me any 500 songs and I'll still slot this one top 5. 27. House of the Rising Sun - The Animalsclassic. 'nuff said. 26. Ain’t No Mountain High Enough - Marvin Gaye & Tammi TerrellNoone I ever knew really ever played this in my presence so honestly saying I have heard this more than 5 times in my lifetime is stretching. It's allright. A little bloated and kinda X-masy sounding for no good reason. 25. Hey Jude - The BeatlesI'm cool with this slot. Not one of my favorite Beatles song. Goes on a little too long, but you rrally can't dislike any Beatles song can you? 24. Uptown Funk - Mark Ronson f/Bruno MarsI like this one. One of the better post 2010's songs, because it really sounds like 70's Kool and The Gang funk. 23. Rolling in the Deep - AdelePop that isn't melodically catch is just not my kind of pop. I've said this before and I'll say it again this stuff is too grown up for me. 22. Don’t Stop Me Now - QueenI love this one, but the correct over the top Queen song slays them all. 21. Lose Yourself - EminemWhen Pop was not fun I was not listeing to pop. 'nuff siad. **How in the world a certain song that is literally still in diapers has made the top 20 is beyond words. and in even worse news I Lost another top 10 of course. Leaving me with my last two epic monster jams to bet with

And it’s not overproduced by any means; the production is pretty standard for most of the Motown classics from that era. That is one of the most baffling takes I’ve ever heard. As for it being a little Christmas sounding, I don’t necessarily agree, but even if it was, how would it be a bad thing when it still sounds incredible?

As I stand on the "House of the Rising Sun", I saw that mountain, and I thought, "Ain't No Mountain High Enough". That means I don't need to be "Rolling in the Deep", and I can get my "Uptown Funk" back. I don't feel "Under Pressure", and I'm not hearing a "Careless Whisper" anymore. Should "I Want You Back", "Hey Jude", my past lover? Well, if I do, I hope you won't "Lose Yourself", and please, "Don't Stop Me Now".

Leaving me with my last two epic monster jams to bet with That's one of the most absurd things I've ever seen someone say about a song, especially if you're referring to the chart record-setting hit song of this decade. Also there is at least one song in this top 20 that I feel is over stayin'.

I’m pretty sure it’s just a transparent way of saying that a song being new makes it bad by default, or somehow less worthy of respect when compared to old classics. Even if he wasn’t trying to say that here, he’s made it clear he thinks that way time and time again. Sometimes, music just passes a person by, and their taste doesn’t adjust to enjoy newer stuff in the same way they did the stuff from when they were younger. And to be fair, I think we’re all naturally biased towards the songs from our teenage years and early 20s. But what do I know; after all I’m still in my early 20s

And to be fair, I think we’re all naturally biased towards the songs from our teenage years and early 20s. But what do I know; after all I’m still in my early 20s No need to get nasty and try to annalize (not sure of the spelling here) and the right click isn't helping me out, but hopefully you know what i I mean? It's not about new songs being bad by default. I'm probably out there scoring and enjoying more new music than you are? maybe? I just think songs that are too new have not paid thier dues. Classic rock didn't become classic rock over night. It takes about 20 years or longer to become classic rock. Too new to me would be in the last five years. and that's being generous, because I do love a lot of the new stuff coming out globaly. New? yes and it sounds like 80's. The best of both worlds. If we do have the same song in mind then I didn't even tank it per say. I didn't know it set any records. I don't follow the CHR chart anymore. I ranked the song according to what I like music to sound like. I mean it isn't a travesty and it does ride on 80's vibes, which is what I like, but it really isn't all that great to show up in a top 20 with a boatload of classics featured on this list. Plus the guys vocals do little to entice me. That's my real reason here. To be honest there are quite a few post 2000's that are pretty awesome. I gave "Call Me Baby" top 40, but I heard that one more than 100 times on the radio and on purpose, so it became more dear to me each time. If you think about it I am pretty hard on newer music. I didn't even start putting "Lips of An Angel" in my own top 100 songs of all time until about 5 years ago. How's that for tough love.

We all won’t agree on the songs and where they rank and that’s what makes the rankdown fun. Similarly, we all won’t agree that just because a song is considered a classic, that it should get a free ride to the top, or just because a song is too new to have received its dues, it should be out sooner than later. It’s all in good fun and I’m sure we can all acknowledge that music is still being made that can stand side by side with some of the greats from 50+ years ago.

Well I guess I can at least confidently say that there’s no way that Bohemian Rhapsody will be higher than Another One Bites The Dust.

Of course...... Please tell me I am not the lowest ranker for Bohemian Rhapsody. Someone HAS to rank it lower than me... I should have put this in my bottom 10.
