Any collab Meg is on is pretty much a guaranteed #1. She hopped on a remix of Butter when that was pretty much dead, and it blocked Stay when it was at its 350+ point peak. (Oh what I'd give to have a song on the chart right now with 350 points, never mind 2 or 3.) Lol Megan wasn't the reason why Butter remix was #1. It was the BTS Army mass buying it. It could've been Crazy Frog remix and it still would've been #1. I disagree. If it was ALL BTS army mass buying, Butter would have not been behind songs like Stay, Good 4 u, Bad Habits, Levitating, Kiss Me More, and even Industry Baby the previous 4 weeks. That was obviously not the case, and the song was pretty much dead at that point (just see the rest of its run after the Meg remix). Come to think of it, Butter beating out Stay during the week of the Meg remix might be the flukiest thing that happened in the history of the Hot 100. It would be as if Ariana jumped on a Stay remix, and it returned to #1 on the Hot 100, only to fall off the chart completely six weeks from now. |

Megan's current single "Megan's Piano" isn't even on the Hot 100 right now. Not sure how a feature would be any different, like mentioned above.
Let's remember that the Butter remix came after Billboard asked BTS about the criticism they get online about their fans mass buying their songs, which led fans to push even harder to get Butter to return to #1. I'm not sure how that user continues to just ignore everything about how the charts work when they probably are posting in these threads more than anyone else.

By my calculations Bruno is going to lose between 8-12% in points, whereas HW will lose around 5%. Last week I think only a point separated them.

Even then, a song 4 weeks removed from the top should have not received a 75% gain in points (which is roughly the amount SYT gained during the Ariana remix week), and knocked of a 4-week running #1 that was virtually at its peak in points. Butter returning to #1 that week makes All Too Well's week at #1 look normal. |

BTSβ βButterβ spends an 11th week at No. 1 on Billboardβs Hot Trending Songs chart (dated March 5), powered by Twitter.
βButterβ leads with 4.6 million Twitter mentions, up 13%, Feb. 18-24. On the last day of the tracking week, BTS was honored as the IFPI global recording artist of the year for 2021, becoming the first act to score the nod in two consecutive years. (Per the IFPI, the mantle is a culmination of an actβs worldwide performance across digital and physical music formats, including streaming and vinyl, and spans an artistβs entire discography.)
βButter,β which is nominated for best pop duo/group performance at the 64th Grammy Awards on April 3, topped the Billboard Hot 100 for 10 weeks beginning last June. It also ruled the Billboard Global Excl. U.S. survey for five weeks and the Billboard Global 200 for two frames.
The song extends its record for the most weeks spent at No. 1 on Hot Trending Songs, dating to its launch in October.
Billboardβs Hot Trending Songs charts, powered by Twitter and sponsored by Capital One, track global music-related trends and conversations in real-time across Twitter, viewable over either the last 24 hours or past seven days. I don't even think WDTAB is the biggest threat to Heat Waves this week. To me, I think Super Gremlin (album release) and abcdefu (iTunes discount + #1 on pop) are bigger threats to HW. WDTAB has got to be the luckiest timed song ever. If it was released 6 months earlier, zero chance it would have been #1 going up against hits like Butter, Stay, Good 4 u, Levitating, Bad Habits, Kiss Me More, and Industry Baby. |

WDTAB has got to be the luckiest timed song ever. If it was released 6 months earlier, zero chance it would have been #1 going up against hits like Butter, Stay, Good 4 u, Levitating, Bad Habits, Kiss Me More, and Industry Baby. How do you know "WDTAB" would have had the same exact chart points had it been released then? For all we know the general chart climate being richer would have meant even higher streams for "Bruno" than it had in 2022. (I'm not saying that would have been the case, just saying there is no way to know.) |

I will go further and state the obvious since most of of us here get it but... some don't
"Bruno' would not have been a hit at all if not for the movie tie-in
If "Encanto' was a summer hit instead of a holiday hit - those songs would have charted then too -- regardless ofΒ 'Stay', 'Butter' etc.
Side note: the hourly commentary about 'Stay', 'Butter', 'Industry Baby' , etc. is amusing

Good for Latto it's nice to see another Female Rapper being able to go top 10 on kworb π.sadly it looks like abcdefu will be the next #1 on kworb soon π. It depends on whether pop radio will hold on to abcdefu for another week. If it does, it will be contender for not only kWorb #1, but also the Hot 100 #1 on the 3/19 chart. If not, Enemy is coming and looks to be a future #1 on radio. |
