Apparently there's a glitch right now with AM and Sweetest Pie hasn't debuted. Not sure when it'll be fixed

Apparently there's a glitch right now with AM and Sweetest Pie hasn't debuted. Not sure when it'll be fixed If there is indeed a glitch, it doesn't appear to be affecting everyone. Sweetest Pie does show up on the UK and Australia AM top 200's, but is nowhere to be seen on the US or Canada AM charts.

I can't decide if I like or hate Sweetest Pie yet, I think it will be very polarizing. And the video there is just a little too much going on, and weird and quite grotesque at times.

Q: If/When the Lil durk songs stay Stable During the week and certain songs go recurrent would they be allowed to come back the next following week? Or they're Gone.

You say that like it’s a bad thing :kii: Usually, it wouldn't be but in the case of this song, it is. It's like the message being sent via the song itself is vastly different from it's music video. The song is an attempt at a fun, bubblegum pop/rap record. Why would you then turn to use dark/weird imagery in it's music video? It did nothing for me and I don't see it becoming some huge hit on streaming/on the charts overall. It may do some damage on radio over time because of Dua but that'll probably be it. We'll see what ends up happening, though.

Also in regards to the Sweetest Pie music video, it is very weird and it did take me awhile to understand what even the concept was but was I got that, I appreciated costumes, dancing, and silliness a whole lot more

Sweetest Pie is really meh, I don't think it'll be a big hit. Probably something like "Rumors".

Definitely have mixed opinions on the video but Sweetest Pie itself is very fun, hoping for a big debut. I wonder if the Rex Orange County/Tyler song will also have a big week, would be interesting to see ROC getting a chart hit

Is it only me or Sweetest Pie’s chorus sounds exactly like Side Effects by The Chainsmokers and Emily Warren? I noticed this too. Interestingly it’s been noted that Side Effects sounds like it’s right off Future Nostalgia just in general. Sweetest Pie definitely continues that sound but also sounds specifically similar to Side Effects.

Also (and maybe I mentioned this in the past too), the featured artist on Side Effects, Emily Warren, has been a songwriting partner with Dua for several of her singles, including New Rules, Don't Start Now, and We're Good.

I love "Sweetest Pie!" Been listening to it a few times. Don't know if it will be a hit for these ladies but I appreciate it!

Part of the "Sweetest Pie" chorus reminds me of the bridge of DC3's "Lose My Breath."

That has to be the lowest that I have seen Spotify numbers since the streaming era really began. I wonder if the controversy with that guy and people cancelling their subscriptions is why the numbers are so terrible. The number one song on Tuesday is not even at 900,000 streams

The number one song on Tuesday is not even at 900,000 streams From what I understand, Spotify usage isn’t down, it’s just todays hits are becoming smaller while catalog music is seeing a huge streaming surge. So the streaming is just more dispersed rather than bloated onto the top songs. It would be interesting to compare the streaming numbers of say #150 today compared to 2 or 3 years ago. Something tells me the bottom end of the Spotify 200 might be growing while the top half is shrinking.

Sort of? 2020's hard to compare because it was album bomb after album bomb that makes it hard to find an apples-to-apples day around the same period. March 10, 2022: It Was a Good Day, Ice Cube - 257,590 March 10, 2021: Cigarette Daydreams, Cage the Elephant - 232,956 February 27, 2020 (before a bunch of bombs): Sucker, Jonas Brothers - 269,396 March 10, 2019: This Feeling, The Chainsmokers & Kelsea Ballerini - 246,580 March 8, 2018 (before the Logic album bomb): Love Scars, Trippie Redd - 213,548 March 10, 2017: Treat You Better, Shawn Mendes - 210,550

Especially around this time when the lockdowns were starting. But from this data that you provided it does look evident that the bottom half’s trajectory is going up and proof that listeners are just more dispersed.

Sweetest Pie is really meh, I don't think it'll be a big hit. Probably something like "Rumors". I cant makeup my mind on Sweetest Pie as yet, played it about 5 times so far. The beats are good but I'm looking for something in it to make we want to hit replay over and over and I'm not feeling it somehow. Probably need to take a break instead of looking too hard for something. Bits of the song reminds me of many songs "Dont phunk with my heart - Black Eyed Peas", "Smack That - Akon", "Lose My Breath - Destiny Child" and "Rumours - Lizzo" to name a few which I all like. But I'll switch to "Bam Bam" for the weekend...as it still resonates well in my head..

Well that's the first real album bomb I've seen on AM for the year (a long time ago from CLB) and its by Lil Durk. Almost every song that remained in the upper reaches has fallen way down except Super Gremlin. Great showing so far. Hope it stays on that momentum for the week. If the Spotify streams are good, then expect multiple hits in the Top 50 !!!

I doubt it's a grower, since I can't find anything interesting after my 3rd listen, they just didn't sell the song to me. Of all Dua's female collabs so far, I only like "Fever". That song is a vibe, and I still listen to it very often. As for your 2nd post, didn't Adele hold the top 12 on AM at some point, when "30" was released?

Hmmm...I dont quite remember Adele's run on AM, but maybe you are correct. The post was actually recalling to memory the album bombs by rappers for the year so far. I should have been more specific, sorry bout that. Lil Durk is the first one to actually convince me that we will be having an album bomb on Hot 100 to shake up the charts. Just waiting on Spotify to confirm.
