Tweet's iconic debut album was released on April 2nd, 2002 to rave reviews and sales. It debuted at #3 on the Billboard 200 with 195k, produced two top-10 R&B hits, and was certified Gold with sales of 900k+ to date. It is also a masterpiece that still holds up 20 years later. She deserved the career _____ had and I will die on that hill. Anyone else love this album? My top-3 (non-singles) would be Smoking Cigarettes, Always Will and My Place. (#1 Hot R&B/Hip-Hop; #2 UK R&B; #4 Rhythmic; #5 UK Singles; #7 Hot 100) (#6 UK R&B; #9 Hot R&B/Hip-Hop; #19 Rhythmic; #31 Hot 100; #35 UK Singles) (#167 UK Singles)

The only songs I liked when the album dropped were "Oops (Oh My)", "Sexual Healing", "Motel", "Call Me", and Missy's "Big Spender". I thought she was going to deliver an album with more bangers from Timbaland. "Smoking Cigarettes" was an interesting song title, but it was an okay ballad to me.
Fast forward to almost two decades, it's a very easy-listening album that I appreciate a lot. It shows that Ms. Keys can hold her own outside of Missy and Timbaland's influence. She has so many great songs on here. However, my favorite deep cuts are "Best Friend", "Beautiful", "Boogie 2 Nite" and of course "Smoking Cigarettes".
Speaking of "Motel", I thought it was going to be the second single by the attention it was getting from Atlanta radio.
