Lead single from their final album "Straight Outta Hell's Kitchen". It samples "Ghetto Heaven" by The Family Stand, The Emotions' 1977 single "Best of My Love" and "Set It Off" by Strafe. It was produced by David Cole & Robert Clivillés.
"Let the Beat Hit 'Em" was also sampled by Kylie Minogue on the track "Too Much of a Good Thing" off her 1991 album Let's Get To It.

I was a huge fan of this one back in the day. It was on the first issue of Dance Mix USA and that's where I heard it initially.
A few years later I discovered the 'Part 2' versions of this song that Clivilles and Cole did for this which are basically a totally different song sharing just a few of the lyrics of the original. The melody of the vocals and everything are totally different. This is a House classic in every sense of the word.

My second favorite by them behind "I Wonder If I Take You Home". There's a great remix of this by Clivilles & Cole too, but I can't find it on YouTube.
