Looking forward to this and new music from them! I hope it's good and not just an attempt at a radio hit to stay relevant (the title scares me a little lol). I just want them to continue to make great music, whether or not radio plays it. So I'm hoping for more gems on this album like "The Daughters", "Sugar Coat", "Nightfall" and "Next to You".

Hopefully it's an upbeat song and you can hear all 4 members individually.

It still stuns me that both ladies in the group are over 50...talk about aging well!

So will the trend continue of songs with Hell in the title bombing at country radio? Lol

So will the trend continue of songs with Hell in the title bombing at country radio? Lol Possibly, but I'd be more worried about the trend of songs by women over 50 bombing.

"Hell of a View" and "Give Heaven Some Hell" are both current hits though. "Hell" definitely seemed to be an obstacle a couple years ago, when the songs you mentioned struggled, but there is currently reason to hope that it might no longer be the obstacle that it used to be.

Stoked for this and it better be kickass with this title lol... cuz otherwise I'm just gonna drag it for not being good like the Montgomery Gentry song! lol.
On a serious note tho I hope this is a jam and more like their older music. In any event, extremely anxious to hear this.

Oh good! I am so ready for new LBT! “To Hell & Back” “Hell Right” “What The Hell Did I Say” 3 huge stars that have never struggled with a single all had flops with these songs. "Hell of a View" and "Give Heaven Some Hell" are both current hits though. "Hell" definitely seemed to be an obstacle a couple years ago, when the songs you mentioned struggled, but there is currently reason to hope that it might no longer be the obstacle that it used to be. And I wouldn't say the word 'hell' was the reason why most of these flopped, either. "Hell Right" was just a TERRIBLE song, lmao. And Maren's was a terrible choice for radio as a song in general, to where I think that the title was the least of its worries tbh.

So hyped for this! Also - that Dierks song mentioned is such a jam and should’ve been a smash hit.

I'm not a huge fan, but I hope it's not yet another Karen solo. I mean, she has a great voice, but come on , there are other 3 members!

I like this pretty well. Phillip's vocal kinda sounds nice and fresh to me. I hope this does well for them.

It's ok. Not what I was expecting based on the title but hoping it grows on me.

Definitely not what I expected but it’s cool to hear them switch it up with a new lead vocal.
This could be a big grower for me. I always love these legends.

Little Big Town’s lead vocalist on their top 10 hits have been mostly Karen with the exception of their first 2 top 10’s “Boondocks” and “Bring It On Home”. They all sang lead on the first and Phillip sang lead on the latter. This makes me think of Little Texas back in the 90’s. Tim Rushlow sand lead on all their top 10 hits but one, their #1 single “My Love” which Brady Seals sang lead vocals on.

I like the hook well enough “going through hell? Yeah” and much prefer that to a “Hell Yeah!” country party anthem any artist could do, but I’m not really feeling this much. The production sounds like what they have done for a while now, and that’s not a big deal but the song just kinda floats around without going anywhere too exciting.

I guess I could elaborate on why I don't like this lol... first and foremost, not a fan of the production at all. It sounds cheap, plus it has a snap-clap beat and is a bit too bro-leaning for me. And it's just so far removed from their roots and honestly is such a massive step down compared to their earlier material, through like the Pain Killer era, which was absolutely stellar. And if there was ever a song that needed a comma in the title! Also, I think Phillip sounds kinda awful on this one and don't think he sounded that great when he performed this on the CMT Awards either. He can definitely sing and is a vital part of the group when it comes to their 4-part harmony, but I don't think his voice is aging particularly well and Jimi is definitely a much stronger vocalist with a more palatable tone IMO. I love how they can all sing lead tho and don't want it to always be Karen and Jimi when it comes to singles. Quite frankly I'd love it if they gave Kimberly the opportunity to sing lead on singles much more often than they do.
I guess the only positives I have are the harmonies are still really good, and the melody in the chorus is decent enough. But I can't see me ever jamming to this or purposely revisiting it much, if at all, tbh. Again I find myself yearning for them to return to their roots.

This is decently catchy and I'd love it if it got them back to the top 20 of the charts, but it definitely would've sounded better as a Karen lead, despite people's desires for them to switch it up, lol. Phillip's voice just isn't all that great on this one and he's definitely my least favorite of the 4 members. If they wanna let someone get the spotlight more, I agree with LBTrocks that Kimberly on lead would be a welcome change. I welcome them switching up lead vocals on the singles from time to time, but there's definitely a reason that they mostly push Karen's leads to radio and its just because lbr she's simply the strongest and most distinct vocalist of the bunch. Nonetheless, glad they're back with new music and I'm really excited for a full album.
