I don't care about the Beatles that much but I might call this my favourite of their songs if I had to

#3 PREVIEW
#1s: 2 Top Tens: 12 Movements Spent in Top Five: All
Every song in the top four spent time at #1 (the only songs to do so), but this song spent significantly less time at #1 than "True Faith".

I love Bowie to pieces, and there are multiple songs of his that I'd say are definitively among my favorites of all-time, but this is, unquestionably, my favorite Bowie song. The hook is also in my top ten all-time favorites in that department, too.
Congrats on clearing your bottom ten just in time, wheatsquares33...and sorry, singingrulebritannia and janinho, though, considering where you each ranked the other song in this top two, I don't think you're too upset right now.
#2 David Bowie Starman
Points: 546 Standard Deviation: 9.5 (8th lowest) Where I'd Rank It: #4 Where It Would Have Finished: w/ My Rank: #2

ONCE MORE!
It took longer than it has pretty much any other personal for me to complete this rankdown's reveals once they began, but we are here! As always, I'd like to thank everyone who submitted, showed interest in the rankdown, viewed the thread once, etc. I always say this, but you are all the reason I even host these things in the first place, especially now.
Some of you already know what I have in store next, but, for those of you that don't, I remembered a RD that rom started (and never finished, I did not forget this, rom) where he included his favorite songs from every one of his favorite albums from the previous 50 years. I loved that idea by itself, but I didn't want to do the exact same thing, partly because I probably haven't listened to enough albums to truly feel confident in doing anything along those lines. I'm also not going to pick my favorite song by year, because a) you just saw a number of them on this list, and b) I wanted to just pick songs that I was interested in including in a rankdown, either for the first time or for the first time in a while.
The long and short of it is, this next rankdown will feature fifty songs, with one song per year from 1973 to 2022. It's time to take a look back at the past, present, and future, as we go...
COMING SOON THROUGH THE YEARS

Lmao at the top 5 all being songs I ranked in the lower 15. Oof. And they were still decent songs. I didn't expect as many to rank "One More Time" so high - I think I ranked it low because of the vocals.
But yeah, "Be My Baby" is such an influential song - I feel like I should've ranked it at #1, or at least top 5, but I think I did it good with a #6.
Oh, and spoiler alert : Paint It Black is totally gonna do good in the 1966 Rankdown, I just won't say how good.

i'm afraid i slightly underranked Starman, i'd probably move it up about 4 spots if i were ranking right now...you can't go wrong w/ any of these Top 6 songs - i'd have been happy w/ any of them as champ...still, i'm happy to see Robert Smith at the top of the heap thanks for the awesome rankdown Red !
