Welcome to the third and final Lost Hits of the Early 1980s rankdown! Just like with the other Lost Hits rankdowns before it this rankdown features 50 noteworthy songs that peaked on the Hot 100 during the Early 80s time frame (i.e. before April 1983) but did not make the year-end lists. The first 15 songs on the list peaked during 1980, the next 15 during 1981, followed by 15 more from 1982, and with the final 5 coming from 1983. This is the same format as the second Early 80s rankdown. Whereas the songs in part II had a ranking in the top 100 based on chart points, the songs in this rankdown had a ranking of 101 or greater for their respective year.
If you've participated in any other rankdowns you know how these work. Just listen to all of the songs and rank them from 1 (best) to 50 (worst) based on your personal preference. When ranking the songs, if there is another version/remix/edit that you prefer other than the one in the Spotify playlist, feel free to rank that version. PM me your list, and I will compile everyone's rankings and present the results. The due date is currently set for Sunday, June 5th at 10PM EST. Have fun and happy ranking!!!

Spotify playlist:
Songs missing from Spotify:
The Jags - Back of My Hand
Yoko Ono - Walking on Thin Ice
*NOTE: The actual versions of "Breakfast in America" and "I Will Always Love You" that charted on the Hot 100 differ from the original versions of both songs. What charted are a live recording of "Breakfast in America" and a soundtrack re-recording of "I Will Always Love You". Even though the original versions did not make the Hot 100 you may rank whichever version that you prefer. I've included the original album versions of both songs in the Spotify playlist as these are the most popular recordings of each whereas you can listen to the actual versions that charted in the YouTube links below:
Supertramp - Breakfast in America [Live in Paris]
Dolly Parton - I Will Always Love You [soundtrack re-recording]
