Adele isn’t sweeping a video award show.
I’d say Doja is going to be the most nominated.

Video of the Year: Thats What I Want - Lil Nas X All Too Well (10 Minute Version) - Taylor Swift As It Was - Harry Styles Woman - Doja Cat Take My Breath - The Weeknd
Swap in First Class depending how good the video is, Lil Nas X is up in the air but I feel like they'll split the difference between him and Jack by nominating their separate videos and leaving out Industry Baby. Thats What I Want is the better video anyways. I'm just throwing Take My Breath in there because I love the video a lot, but I feel like The Weeknd will be relegated to the technical categories at the most. Sometimes MTV throws him in for VOTY for some odd reason, like how he was nominated for SYT last year but nothing else or Reminder in 2017 despite that song not even being a hit.

I'm glad they're bringing back the Video Vanguard Award. so many deserving artists yet to receive it, and Nicki Minaj was surely one of them.
her 2018 VMA performance was iconic so I'm excited to see what she brings this time around.

I'd give the award to Katy, Gaga and Taylor first, but I'm happy with this choice too. Deserved!

I'd give the award to Katy, Gaga and Taylor first, but I'm happy with this choice too. Deserved! Should we consider Gaga a recipient since she got the "Tricon Award" or whatever they called it during the dystopian 2020 VMAs? I totally forgot about that ordeal until you mentioned her name. Ditto on Katheryn and Taylor. the only women with 2 videos over 3 billion views each. 👏🏽👏🏽 Gaga too if she is still up for it, and Ariana as well after them.

I don't think they will ever give it to Gaga after that "Tricon" thing.
Nicki is a good award show performer... maybe Ariana, Lil Wayne and Drake join her on stage?

Trust that I think Nicki does deserve this award, but certain artists should've gotten it first. Gaga is probably outta the question because she got that "Tricon" award in 2020, but I think Katy Perry definitely deserves it. Also what about Eminem?!

Excited for Lizzo, but man there's such a lack of big hitters this year it's hard to get excited. Lizzo and Jack Harlow have had huge years so they make sense and Nicki is big, but everyone else doesn't even compare star-power wise. It's unfortunate timing because all the huge artists are on tour right now, like literally everyone is on tour (Kendrick, Weeknd, Harry, Bad Bunny, Bieber, Billie, Silk Sonic, etc.) while other big artists available like Drake and Beyonce don't really seem to wanna show up anymore.

Nicki's videography is fine, but they are still missing so many older acts. Usher, Eminem, Jay-Z, Christina Aguilera, Aerosmith, Busta Rhymes, Outkast, No Doubt/Gwen, etc. I'm sure the decision is partly based on driving viewership, but still.

Excited for Lizzo, but man there's such a lack of big hitters this year it's hard to get excited. I feel like we’ve been saying this about every award show for the last fives years, and I definitely feel it too, but then I wonder, who would need to show up to these to make them exciting? My thoughts leading up to the Grammys are mainly that the big names today aren’t particularly exciting in a venue like how the VMAs are set up to be. Maybe to have someone like Rihanna or Beyoncé show up might help, but other than those, they’d need to hype up whoever the biggest name on the performer’s list and give them a major spotlight for the show.
