Not pushing either of these songs as singles were huge misfires in their respective eras. Hopefully both WOA and HIH get their flowers one day. |

Did you guys check out this post? Bonnie McKee revealing she and Katy haven't spoken in years? It just came off as a little strange to me. She made all those Teenage Dream videos when they didn't even speak to each other?

They probably just went in different directions. It happens, people’s lives change and they just lose contact over time. Katy hasn’t worked with Max Martin since Witness. I’m sure she just wanted to work with new people since 2018. It’s like when you leave a job and stop talking to people you enjoyed working with years ago.
But it sounds like Bonnie is open to working with Katy again (and I’m sure Max is too).

To be quite honest, no shade to Bonnie but she's promoting her own music so she knew dropping Katy's name was gonna get her more clicks. It's pretty normal.
As for Harleys, it's time is up. They should have unleashed the beast when it was making noise on streaming.

well it was still nominated for Album of the Year at the Grammy's and you can't take that away from her.

Firework #18 at USA Spotify for the 4th of july. Not bad, it got 1M+ of streams (global) which is a the most it has ever gotten in one day.
Teenage Dream (album) also beat its best record with 4.5M+ streams.

I'm ready for new music. I listened to Smile yesterday at the gym cuz the wifi was down and it still remains a great album to me. Don't care what critics/sales/trolls say. The only blunder is the lack of a constructed bridge on the song Smile. Otherwise every song can stand on its own pretty well. Teary Eyes and Cry About it Later are among her best. And Harleys in Hawaii deserves the RUTH treatment.
