2 Preview Highest: 1
1 Preview Highest: 1
Down to the final 2 Crash vs Fire
American Idiot and Red both have a chance to get a perfect #1 but not on the same song Wheat, Gates, and of course I all have the opportunity to get a perfect #2 No one can get a perfect top 2
Jugg and Nathan both have sub 30 ranks left
Drem and Nathan both have no top 10s left, in fact Nathan has no top 20s left :(

This was so fun to host, a smaller list of songs made this really work for me. I know this list wasn't exactly the best, but I always thought this was an essential entry into the franchise. I'll come back next year with Rock Band 3, and hopfully it won't take me a year after promising to open it to actually finish it like this one did. That song list is much stronger too.
Thanks to everyone who submitted and see you all again after the year end dust settles.

{HAPPY WALLGIVING, PART 3}#10: This song has been and will always be lame. It's the least lame song they've made, but it doesn't change the lameness. #9: If this were most other rankdowns, I'd wonder if this was Pulse returning to its roots by having the Foos make the top ten with a somewhat inferior song. Here? Eh, that's fine. #8: "Runnin' Down a Dream" deserves #7: Here's the last of the "work has ruined this song for me" songs, which is weird, because this was oversaturated long before that point, but I mostly nothing'd it before. Hearing it roughly every non-Christmas period day finally soured it for me. #6: I know that the chorus is a song-maker, in a sense, but I literally like everything else about this song more than the chorus. That intro, in particular, is stunning. #5: That "David Bowie will return" line should probably end with "with the likely winner". Never been the biggest fan of this song, but its status as a banger is undeniable, and this RD didn't give me a hell of a lot to work with. #4: I kept expecting this to show up, first before the top 20, then before the top ten, and then before the top five. The fact that this is one spot below a perfecto for me is stunning, but I will gladly take that. #3: I'll forever contend that "The Love You Save" is every bit this song's equal, but there's also no denying that this is a phenomenal piece of 60's pop. I'm probably going against the grain in thinking that one of these two songs will win instead of the other one, but let's see how it goes. #2: I stand corrected. I assumed "Crash" would get zero low rankings, and I guess I was wrong. I vividly remember this song being everywhere in the 90's, long after its initial release, and I should have known right then and there that this song would be eternal. #1: It's a basic #1, both as a winner and as my own #1, but if you can deny Mitch Mitchell's drumming here, you're a better person than I am. God, we have way too long to wait for the greatest setlist in rhythm game history.

Everyone calling Fire an obvious winner but I'd honestly never have guessed this top two. Thought I Want You Back would be the winner in the end, but hey Jimi Hendrix taking a W is always a W for everyone. This was a quality set of songs, so looking forward to seeing more Rock Band from you, Razor!
