Moving back to third is...
3. The Familiar Fruits 💅 (samo🦕 & walt91 )Overall Score: 63.2 | Detour Rank: #4 | Roadblock Rank: #3 | Bonus From Last Leg: +0.2Detour Results:
(Ship of Dreams)Judge's Thoughts:Nick: Nothing but vibes here. Great vibes (9)District: (8.4)Rom: oh this is vibes (8.2)Shruggie: (8.5)Overall Score: 34.1 Roadblock Results:
(Sent by samo)Judge's Thoughts:Nick: You tell 'em Barbra (7.8)
District: (7.2)
Enya: This will always remind me of Will in the bathtub in Will & Grace. The opening lines are pure draaaamaaa but the rest of the song is like a balloon slowly leaking out air at times until Babs blows into it again and pops it with the “Hey Mr. Arnsteiiiiin!!!” finale. (8.9)
MoD: (5)
Overall Score: 28.9
A well-rounded performance carried you to your highest placement yet again. A +0.4 bonus may help.

Just missing the top half is...
4. ZeBB (matteeeb & BB🌕 )Overall Score: 61.9 | Detour Rank: #2 | Roadblock Rank: #4 | Bonus From Last Leg: +0Detour Results:
(Ship of Dreams)Judge's Thoughts:Nick: I think literally every team considered sending this. The reasons why should speak for themselves (8.9)District: (8.3)Rom: shoutout to gibberish gotta be one of my favorite musics (8.5)Shruggie: (9.8)Overall Score: 35.5 Roadblock Results:
(Sent by BB)Judge's Thoughts:Nick: Reasonably fun song, good energy. Impressive vocals as well. But I can't say I see myself often putting this on (6.6)
District: (6.8)
Enya: The “and you! And you! And you!” line is iconic and always gives me goosebumps, but the rest of the song is honestly kinda boring. Like, I’m just waiting for that line to happen the entire time. The vocals are incomparable though. (7)
MoD: (6)
Overall Score: 26.4
A great detour placement allowed you to avoid the bottom two. Here's a small +0.2 bonus.

Narrowly avoiding elimination is..5. J&J Security (Pollen & CagedJuggalo The Third Tanker )Overall Score: 60.5 | Detour Rank: #5 | Roadblock Rank: #5 | Bonus From Last Leg: +1.3
Detour Results:
(Fantastical Scenes)Judge's Thoughts:Nick: Appropriately, the storytelling in this song is fantastic. Can't complain about the music either (9.3)District: (8.4)Rom: "can you hear me maeijor tom" (7.4)Shruggie: (8.5)Overall Score: 33.9 Roadblock Results:(Sent by Jugg)Judge's Thoughts:Nick: If we were scoring this based on what song had the most things going on, this would win in a landslide. Unfortunately for this song's sake, the quality of those things also has to be taken into account (3.5)District: (7)Enya: See what happens when Lauryn Hill actually shows up? This was great and perfectly encapsulates the theme and plot of the film. While my personal fave of the Sister Act films is “My Guy,” this one really had me wondering if I should get down with G-O-D. …But then I remembered God hates me lol (9.1)MoD: (5.7)Overall Score: 25.3You two had a thoroughly mediocre performance this leg, but thankfully for you one team did worse and you live to race another day, even without a bonus. Tumbling into last is...6. Bornussia Dortmund (born & filthy )Overall Score: 58.9 | Detour Rank: #6 | Roadblock Rank: #6 | Bonus From Last Leg: +0.8
Detour Results:
(Ship of Dreams)Judge's Thoughts:Nick: That guitar work is just on a whole different level. Totally transcendent (9.2)District: (9.2)Rom: made me remember to listen to the new sky ferreira to make sure she didnt lie about releasing new music. oh yeah decent song as well (7.2)Shruggie: (8.3)Overall Score: 33.9 Roadblock Results:
(Sent by Filthy)Judge's Thoughts:Nick: This sounds like a kinda lame watered down ABBA cover which...well yeah (6.3)
District: (8.1)
Enya: I’ll admit, I’ve never seen Mamma Mia!, but I will say that it’s difficult to choose a cover of a song everyone already knows. The synths sound cheaper, Amanda Seyfried’s vocals a bit weaker, and just overall makes me wish I were listening to the ABBA version instead. (5.8)
MoD: (4)
Overall Score: 24.2
After two very strong performances, you two found yourselves with the unfortunate distinction of finishing last in both challenges, naturally landing you in last for this leg.
However
This is a non-elimination leg! You two will live to race another day, albeit with a speed bump to face next leg.

Looking at the lists (and taking into consideration what filther told me), I knew we were gonna be last in both challenges. The non-elimination thing was pure luck, so Bornussia Dortmund has to step it up!
PS: Our first three Detour choices were the actual top 3 so it kinda stinks knowing that we could’ve had them lol. Still wouldn’t be enough to save us from elimination I think.

Leg 4 Hamburg, Barcelona Challenge #1: DetourWhat is a detour? In these challenges, two themes will be available, and teams will choose to send a song for the one they feel more confident in. Be sure to specify which theme you are sending for!Detour ThemesGolden Sands or Crowded StandsGolden Sands: Barcelona’s four and a half kilometer coastline along the Mediterranean Sea boasts many beaches. These golden beaches are popular with both tourists and locals. For this detour, you must send a song with a shade of gold in its title.ORCrowded Stands: FC Barcelona, a football team based in Barcelona, has stadiums such as Camp Nou which can be packed with devoted fans in its stands. For this detour, you must send a similarly packed song: a heavy metal song.
Challenge #2: RoadblockWhat is a roadblock? In these challenges, only one member of the team can come up with a song to send. No consulting. You'll be on the honor system here. Send in your group pm who will do this road block. They will then without consulting their teammate see the theme and send the song in individual pms. tl;dr only one person sends a song, pick who that is in the group pms, then and only then they see the theme.
Twist: Yield Vote The way the yield vote works is that each team votes for one other team that they'd like to see receive a penalty. The team with the most votes will receive a -3 penalty. In the event of a tie, all tied teams receive a -3 penalty. If you do not select a team to yield, then your team receives a vote. You may not discuss strategies with other teams, all decisions must be made by just you and your teammate.
Filthy & Born:
Because you were saved by a non-elimination leg, you must perform a Speed Bump. In the Speed Bump, you can lose up to 3 points from each host (or up to 6 points in total). The theme of the Speed Bump will be sent to you. Consult with your teammate and get your songs in within 48 hours or else your team will NOT have a song in that category and will get an automatic 0/10. Feel free to ask Nick and District any and all questions you may have. Check this list to make sure your song has not been sent in a previous season. Please also check if your song actually fits every criteria mentioned. The world is waiting for you. Travel safe. Go!

Continuing their gradual ascent through the ranks is...
1. Meg's Alt Accounts (Beno & Mayman )Overall Score: 72.4 | Detour Rank: #1 | Roadblock Rank: #4 | Bonus From Last Leg: +0.6Detour Results:
(Golden Sands)Judge's Thoughts:Nick: I think every team at least thought about sending this? For good reason too, it’s a wonderful song (9.6)District: (9.2)Lord: I've delved into this album so many times, every nook and cranny to get every piece of the haunting and tragic story framing the album. This one of the more uplifting yet melancholic tracks from the album, and everything about it works so well. Beautiful and anthemic. (9.5)Web: I've heard this song twice live and 100+ times off Spotify, and the emotion from Andy Hull's voice mixed with the stuttering drums still hits every time. The a cappella part where the layered vocals plead for a few seconds before everything comes bursting back in is a great touch. Could easily type pages about how underrated this band is but I don't think anyone wants to spend their time reading that so I'll just say someone throwing a dart at a board hoping this would be the leg I judged has really good aim. (9.9)Overall Score: 38.2 Roadblock Results:
(Sent by Mayman)Judge's Thoughts:Nick: The instrumentation of this song is fantastic, I love the intimate and dreamy guitar and synth work. It feels very spacey, appropriate given the “alien” in the title (8.8)
District: (8.4)
Wrip: :0 this is really pretty! (8.4)
Fearless: Anything from OK Computer is great and while “Subterranean Homesick Alien” is not among my favorites from it, I’m still giving it a high score. I don’t usually feel the pull to return to this one as much as some of the other songs here though. (8)
Overall Score: 33.6
Despite coming into the season as the team with the least PAR success in your past seasons, you two have established yourselves as arguably the team to beat, improving one spot in the standings every leg. You'll get a +1.1 bonus next leg.

Finishing with their first podium appearance is... 2. ZeBB (matteeeb & BB🌕 )Overall Score: 70.2 | Detour Rank: #2 | Roadblock Rank: #3 | Bonus From Last Leg: +0.2Detour Results:
(Golden Sounds)Judge's Thoughts:Nick: I really enjoy the tense energy of this song. The riff is so high tempo, which contrasts in a fun way with the typically slower vocals. It also makes it satisfying when the vocals do speed up. (9)District: (9)Lord: This song is an absolute banger. Inspired by one of my favorite films, Scarface, and feels just like a chase scene with its propulsive beat framing the chase for satiability framed in the lyrics. (9.2)Web: The driving tension in this song is what has always really appealed to me, reminds me a lot of a Silversun Pickups song with a different vocalist. The energy never lets up for four minutes and the small build at the end leading up to everything pulsing at the same time is a great touch - this has always been a mainstay on my running playlist. (8.6)Overall Score: 35.8
Roadblock Results:
(Sent by Zedd)Judge's Thoughts:Nick: This is one of the better Coldplay songs, I’m quite surprised it hasn’t been sent until now. It’s a very sweet track (8.7)
District: (8.8)
Wrip: solid vibes, really just a pretty song (8.5)
Fearless: I read that this song was inspired by Kate Bush, how timely lol. Anyways, I really enjoy the entire vibe of the song; I think it matches well with the space/light lyrical themes in the song. (8.2)
Overall Score: 34.2
After a slow start to the season with back to back 6th place finishes, you two seem to have gotten into a groove, finishing 4th and now 2nd. You'll get a +0.6 bonus next leg to help continue this momentum.

Continuing their up and down trajectory is...
3. J&J Security (Pollen & CagedJuggalo The Third Tanker )Overall Score: 68.8 | Detour Rank: #4 | Roadblock Rank: #2 | Bonus From Last Leg: +0Detour Results:(Golden Sands) Judge's Thoughts:Nick: This track just has such a pleasant melody. The vocals aren’t necessarily my favorite thing, but I don’t much mind them either (8.6)District: (8.3)Lord: One of the best self-loathing anthems of the 90s. Such a fun song to move and sing along to. (9)Web: Pavement has always been one of those bands that has been recommended to me based on influencing a bunch of other bands I'm really into but I've never really dug into their stuff too much outside of a few one-off album listens. This is short but still manages to pack in a few satisfying transitions and the lazy vocals complement the winding guitars well. (8.2)Overall Score: 34.1
Roadblock Results:(Sent by James)Judge's Thoughts:Nick: Great guitar work mixed with energetic vocals. Strong submission! (8.9)
District: (7.8)
Wrip: great jam song (9.1)
Fearless: Just a solid jam. I think this song is an example of a song that I don’t find anything that’s outstandingly amazing but every aspect is great that it’s just a great song. I also really love the bridge for whatever reason, it’s so good. Also, I don’t think he played a part in this particular song but RIP Taylor Hawkins. (8.9)
Overall Score: 34.7
It's been an up and down season for two, finishing towards the back of the pack one leg only to jump up to the top the next leg. You'll get a +0.4 bonus next leg to help stabilize you.

Surviving the yield vote is...
4. Wamba No. 5 (willapted33 & Sambalada )Overall Score: 67.7 | Detour Rank: #6 | Roadblock Rank: #1 | Bonus From Last Leg: +1.1 | Penalty from Yield: -3Detour Results:(Golden Sands)Judge's Thoughts:Nick: I think this might be the first time that Neil Young has been sent in all of PAR, which is a shame. I love whenever harmonicas are used in songs which this song does, so that’s fun (9.3)District: (8)Lord: Shame he decided to remove his music from Spotify, but this still is a really solid and dreary song that captures the longing mood rather well. (Though Charles Bradley outdid him many years later) (8)Web: The instrumental here took me back to those visits with family members living out in more rural areas where a cow might wander across the backyard as the campfire is crackling through the evening. Neil Young is an artist I really haven't heard much from despite his huge influence, I'm sure I'll make up for that at some point but for now I'll just have to tune out Joe Rogan's muffled cheers and throw his projects on the to-do list. (7.7)Overall Score: 33
Roadblock Results:(Sent by Samba)Judge's Thoughts:Nick: Appropriately, out of all the Speak Now songs, I probably go back to Back to December the most, even if it isn’t my favorite thing ever. Thankfully for you it may be the favorite thing ever of some of our judges (8.5)
District: (9.7)
Wrip: some Taylor songs have been hit or miss for me but I do really love this. It kind of feels nostalgic (8.6)
Fearless: It’s Taylor and this is one of the best songs on Speak Now which is one of my favorite albums from her, so of course this gets a great score from me. (9.8)
Overall Score: 36.6
You two nailed the roadblock, which allowed you to overcome your struggles with the detour and the yield vote. You'll get a +0.2 bonus next leg.

Barely dodging elimination again is...
5. Bornussia Dortmund (born & filthy )Overall Score: 67.4 | Detour Rank: #3 | Roadblock Rank: #5 | Speed Bump Penalty: -0.7Speed Bump Results:Theme: Here Comes The SunThe Beatles first gained a small following in Hamburg in 1960, playing at nightclubs. For this speed bump, you must send a song released before 1960.Judge's Thoughts:Nick: It’s a cute song! Not the greatest thing ever but a pleasant enough listen (-0.3)District: (-0.4)Overall Penalty: -0.7 Detour Results:
(Crowded Stands)Judge's Thoughts:Nick: Iconic for all the right reasons! Extra credit for deciding to branch out and do the heavy metal theme (9.1)District: (8.1)Lord: Easily one of the greatest heavy metal songs of all time, Black Sabbath were the epitome and this song is an absolute banger. One of the best opening riffs ever. (9.7)Web: This is one of those songs you've heard a thousand times in a hundred different contexts so there's always that chance that the impact of it can take a hit just from overplay. Despite that the riff is undeniable and the song doesn't overstay its welcome which I think helps its longevity - picturing the thousands and thousands of bands that look back to this as a touchstone for their careers is crazy to think about. (8.1)Overall Score: 35 Roadblock Results:
(Sent by Born)Judge's Thoughts:Nick: One of my favorites from Emotion, which is saying something since that’s one of my favorite albums! The chorus is just so perfectly pleasant and fun (9.7)District: (9.1)Wrip: low key the production sounds a bit too clunky(?) especially in the verses. things get better in the chorus but this doesn’t do a whole lot for me (5.9)Fearless: I think I care for E•MO•TION less than a lot of pop fans here at least but “Let’s Get Lost” is one of the songs I come back to (I come back to like only half of the album, sorry CRJ stans). It’s a really cute bop that has an infectious energy to it. (8.4)Overall Score: 33.1Despite struggles with the roadblock and speed bump, you two taking a gamble with the roadblock paid off. No bonus for next leg, but you squeak by again. Collapsing into last place is...
6. The Familiar Fruits 💅 (samo🦕 & walt91 ) Overall Score: 64.8 | Detour Rank: #5 | Roadblock Rank: #6 | Bonus From Last Leg: +0.4Detour Results:
(Golden Sands)Judge's Thoughts:Nick: This is a cute track! It has a fun groove, definitely something I will revisit (9.2)District: (8.6)Lord: This is a rather pleasant desert-disco track. I liked the change of tempo near the end of the track, that was unexpected. (7.6)Web: Starts with a smooth dance groove and hangs around with that pleasant vibe for the rest of the song, not 100% sold on the high pitched vocals on the bridge matching the rest of the song but this is still a solid, catchy choice. (7.8)Overall Score: 33.2 Roadblock Results:
(Sent by Walt)Judge's Thoughts:Nick: There was certainly a lot going on with this song! In a fun way though (8)
District: (8.1)
Wrip: did not realize this was this song lol. it does bop but also feels like it’s missing something (7.5)
Fearless: This is the only song that I wasn’t really familiar with, but I enjoyed it a lot! My only reference point for Yeah Yeah Yeahs was “Maps” (and I guess I listened to the recent single “Spitting Off the Edge of the World” too) so this more synthpop-y sound wasn’t what I was expecting. (8)
Overall Score: 31.6
This simply wasn't your leg, struggling in both challenges, which caused you to fall into last place, and I'm sorry to say that you have been eliminated from the race. Thanks for playing!
For everyone else, you've made it to the second half of the race. Just 4 legs remain to determine the winning team of the Pulse Amazing Race: All Stars!

Be sure to specify which theme you are sending for!Detour ThemesPrecise Time or Classical ChimePrecise Time: King Charle IV was highly superstitious, believing strongly in astrology and numerology. Thus, when it came time to officially inaugurate the Charles Bridge, he did it at an exact time on an exact date that was a palindrome: 1357 the 9th of July at 5:31 am. For this detour, you must send a song that has an exact date or time in its title.ORClassical Chime: Numerous famous composers have held concerts in Prague, including Beethoven and Mozart. Additionally, Franz Liszt lived in Prague for 6 years. For this detour, you must send a classical composition.

For this roadblock, you must send a song that was nominated for a Song of the Year Grammy (and yes, winning counts as being nominated).
Songs: Kendrick Lamar - alright Meat Loaf - I'd Do Anything For Love (But I Won't Do That) Peter Gabriel - Sledgehammer Sinéad O'Connor - Nothing Compares 2 U Suzanne Vega - Luka
AAAAAA WHY DID NOBODY SEND "7 YEARS" AAAAAAA
