Walk On Whiskey is my favorite but it may be too slow for country radio. How Is She already entered Billboard's Country Airplay chart before so it is likely to be a single.

Looks like a 4th week at #2 since for the 3rd week in a row (2nd week in a row on Sunday morning) someone leapfrogs Cole to grab #1 on Mediabase. Cole is co-hosting CCUSA on October1-2, so I’m sure he will still get to #1.

Anyone know the CC-USA co-hosting schedule for next month? Is Luke co-hosting next week?
Possibly Luke will get 2 weeks #1 (9/18 and 9/25), or it'd be Cole that gets 2 weeks #1 (9/25 and 10/2)? But Morgan Wallen is a threat now since he's 8000+ spins, so he will for sure get 2 weeks #1 (10/9 and 10/16). Getting worried for Cole. His massive hit may only end up being a 1-week #1 on Mediabse?? What a shame!
The CC-USA website has been down for almost a month now, so it's hard to tell who would be #1 these days without knowing the co-hosting schedule in the upcoming 3-4 weeks.

Whether or not it nabs Mediabase or not, Cole managed to grab the elusive Billboard #1, and he did so almost quicker than a Combs song. That’s an extraordinary victory. Now the battle is to see how long he will manage to stay at the top—this song deserves at LEAST another week.

Girl they are probably gonna hold on until they get the Mediabase #1 as he is co-hosting CCUSA the first weekend of October so this is probably being promoted for at least a few more weeks.

Given the audience gains in comparison to Luke Combs it does look like this song is gonna spend a third week at #1 and given the fact this will be max spinning for two more weeks after this week, we are probably looking at this song spending 5 weeks at #1 on Billboard.

Amazing that Cole Swindell is likely the one to put an end to Luke Comb's Billboard streak.

Cole might make up for the weeks at #1 that Jo Dee didn’t get. What blocked her from #1 anyway?

Given the audience gains in comparison to Luke Combs it does look like this song is gonna spend a third week at #1 and given the fact this will be max spinning for two more weeks after this week, we are probably looking at this song spending 5 weeks at #1 on Billboard. You may be right here, but I wouldn’t be surprised if Luke’s label is focusing primarily on the stations that are Billboard-only. Based on the mediabase updates they clearly haven’t given up (otherwise the song would be dropping already) and I’m sure they don’t really care about getting another week at #1 on mediabase as they’ve already secured the #1 there. So if my theory is correct and they’re focusing primarily on the small group of stations that are only on the Billboard panel, then we won’t really see Luke overtaking Cole on MB but it’s entirely possible that the Billboard #1 is still within reach. I’m hoping my theory is right, because both songs are huge hits and I enjoy them both tremendously, and it would be absolutely wild (in a not good way) for Luke’s song - which has reached #13 on the Hot 100 - to not reach #1 on Billboard’s Country Airplay chart, especially given the handful of weak #1s we’ve seen earlier this year (“With a Woman You Love”, “At the End of a Bar”, “New Truck”, “Never Wanted to Be That Girl”, and “To Be Loved by You”.) In a perfect world, both Luke and Cole would get 4+ weeks at #1 and they’d block the atrocious “You Proof”, although I recognize that Morgan’s hit is huge as well.

Cole might make up for the weeks at #1 that Jo Dee didn’t get. What blocked her from #1 anyway? Jo Dee Messina’s “Lesson in Leavin’” spent 7 weeks at #2 back in 1999 because of “Amazed” by Lonestar (8 weeks at #1). Jo Dee has had a couple big hits blocked from #1.

Warner Nashville is trying to land at #1 on both charts. The max spins ad that was in Country Aircheck’s newsletter this week stated max spins start on September 25th (Sunday), but they are trying to keep Cole at number one this week. Of course, Sony/Columbia Nashville want number one on Billboard and care very deeply about Luke’s streak. I think it could go either way on Monday. Should be interesting to see fold out. I agree with jhomes87 that Luke’s team is focusing on Billboard-only reporters but Cole’s gained audience (about a 1.1 million difference in MB audience since Monday), so it should be a razor thin margin this Monday, as it was this past Monday.

Oh wow, this is turning out to be the most thrilling chart watch I’ve experienced in years. This is what it’s supposed to be like all the time! It’s fun to see massive hits duke it out with one another like this.
I’m very intrigued to see this unfold, and would be absolutely gobsmacked if “Love We Make,” of all the Luke Combs songs, turns out to be the one to miss #1.

This song has been #1 on the rolling Mediabase chart 16 different days, but none of them on Sunday night when the chart week ends to grab #1 for the week. Cole spends a 5th straight week at #2. This has to be the first time ever that the same song had been jumped over on 3 straight Sunday morning updates.

I AM SCREAMING! Is golden boy Comb's streak really broke, or is his label going to try to keep it around?

Spends a 3rd consecutive week at #1 on Billboard's Country Airplay chart this week! Is this official? And, if so, did Luke just share that billboard top 100 thing to his story to make a point of some sort? Timing of that share seems interesting.

This is such a fun song! I love that it has become such a massive hit but it would be disappointing if Luke’s streak ended.

Largest airplay audience for #1 this year (31.042 millions), and largest since Waves (31.9 millions). #9 on Billboard's Radio Songs chart, which is the highest for a song that is charted on country airplay only, and the highest since Forever After All (#10).
