As far as #11 is concerned, "That's All I Need To Know" is by far the biggest outlier in this remaining list, so maybe that? I could see maybe "The Boot" as well, since Alan's newest album doesn't really strike me as one that I expected to contain any "best-of-career" type songs. Well done by bboat11 as he ended up correctly guessing the next two songs! “The Boot” proved to be one of the perennial favorites from Alan's most recent offering Where Have You Gone as it came in as the runner-up from that album rankdown. Unfortunately its exit here means George Strait Junkie becomes the second participant to depart with their #1 song while taylor loses a top 10. This was well-received here overall as well with the majority finding a spot inside their top 25.

“Walk on the Rocks” becomes the first song to exit from Everything I Love which was the only album able to hold onto the reigns of its only two tracks and bring them on into the top 10. Although this did finish at #8 in its respective album rankdown, it did have to contend with an album which saw six singles released from the project. Support from this was strong from the group overall as we saw the majority place this at or near their top 20. It had a bit of a rough stretch as it entered the last half where it encountered a lone bottom 10 from George Strait Junkie and a second non-top 30 which ended up pushing this outside of the top 15 for only its second time.

The loss of “Tropical Depression” means that we've now seen Alan's first three studio albums all exit from contention. This was in fact the top album track from A Lot About Livin' (And a Little 'Bout Love) as it only missed the top 5 there with "Who Says You Can’t Have It All" besting it by a mere point. Support for this was strong overall here as well with everyone in the group finding a spot for this in their top 30. In fact, the majority of y'all ended up ranking this inside your top 20 with it receiving a top 5 from myself and a top 10 from gardyfan. Coming in as our fifth least polarizing song, this is also the first album track to exit that maintained its status as a top 10 contender for its entire run.

Well damn, that was FINALLY a perfect stretch of reveals imo! I do like all of those that we just lost, but the 7 songs remaining are all quite a bit stronger collectively than the four that just left, imo. "Job Description" leaving next would make this basically a perfect top 6, all things considered!

I wanted to get my last message in before the next song got revealed, so here's some more thoughts on the songs we just lost!
"That's All I Need To Know" is solid! Definitely one that I enjoyed from his debut, that I was glad to see make the album tracks rd! But, like, "Big Green Eyes", "Right in the Palm of Your Hand", "Never Loved Before", "After 17", etc. and several others all have waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaayyyy more engaging melodies. This one is pretty basic and straightforward, in a way that holds it back from deserving to contend as one of the BEST album tracks of his entire career imo. An enjoyable listen, but like I definitely don't see it as a tragedy that it never went to radio.
"The Boot" is definitely a highlight from his new album! Very pleased to see that if any of them were going to do so well, it ended up being that one! It feels like it could have been a popular song at any point in his career, but the fact that it came so late gives it a real introspective edge that makes it truly shine.
"Walk on the Rocks" - I love this one as well! Definitely only was so low in the album rd because of how stacked with hits that album was. But again, it's just a really solid album tracks, so I don't really see it as tragic that this one missed out on radio, whereas something like "Buicks To The Moon" feels like a missed hit to me. Hope to see that one in the top 5!!
"Tropical Depression". Another one that is good, but just kinda falls short of being a standout to me. I like it, but compared to the rest of this excellent album, this one just can't quite compete at the same level. Unpopular opinion apparently, but for me the missed opportunity on this album is "She Likes It Too"! Which didn't even end up making this rankdown, lmao. But the simple chorus is soooooo engaging, and honestly had me thinking it was one of the hits most of the times when I listened through this album as a child.

“A Little Bluer Than That” exits next which also happens to be the first song from Drive to do so. The bulk of its support at the top came in the last half of its run as it was only a top 25 contender prior to that. In fact, all four of its highest rankings came in that last half with it picking up its first top 5 from @bleededred followed by a pair of top 15s from bboat11 and taylor. It would come to a rest at its highest position in the final moments with Kanenrá:ke placing this at the top of his list becoming the third participant to lose their #1 song.

Kudos to bboat11 for yet again correctly guessing the two songs that ended up exiting before the top 5! Much to my surprise, "Job Description” has turned out to be a Pulse favorite amongst The Tractors as this was overall as solid top 10 contender for the majority of its run. Things started off a little bleak for this though as I slotted this in the bottom 10 right out of the gate. That would be short lived however as gardyfan followed in my footsteps with a #1 ranking only to then also receive a runners-up from kw9461. All in all, only two participants (including myself) placed this outside of their top 20 altogether. While I do think this is a great song, I've just never felt compelled to revisit it much if at all. In fact, more often than not I've always found myself skipping over this song whenever I do happen to revisit Who I Am. Speaking of, we've now bid adieu to Alan's first four studio albums as all of their respective album tracks have exited.

Well since I nailed the two songs to miss out on the top 5, we'll go ahead and keep my original prediction 5. Rainy Day In June 4. The Sounds 3. Buicks To The Moon 2. Taillights Blue 1. Designated Drinker Drive is one of those rare albums that you put in and honestly feel like you are listening to a Greatest Hits record. Of course "Drive", "Where Were You", "Work In Progress", and "That'd Be Alright" were all rather massive hits, but then there are plenty of songs like "A Little Bluer Than That", "The Sounds", and "Designated Drinker" that are just dripping with potential! "Bluer" in particular just sounds iconic from the beginning. Every time I hear that opening ditty "Well, tonight if you turn your radio on" pour out of my speakers, I feel like I am listening to one of Alan's hits.
"Job Description" is a cool song, as songs that speak to the life of a popular touring artist almost always are. The fact that it comes in the form of a love-letter to his family makes it feel especially poignant and special! I'm glad to see it do well, although it does feel like less egregious of a missed radio opportunity than any of the songs that are left imo.

“Buicks to the Moon” is the first song to bow out inside the top 5 and along with it claims yet another top ranking this time from kw9461. Support for this was relatively strong across the board as all but two participants placed this outside of their top 15. Even then, everyone still comfortably found a spot for this in their top 30. Overall this was a consistent top 10 performer throughout its run with it picking up two additional rankings inside of that towards the last half including another top 5 from Kanenrá:ke.

Even with a pair of top rankings, “Rainy Day in June” still couldn't manage to overcome the three songs ahead of it. That said, this did manage to sneak inside the top 3 a few times over the course of its run and in fact was our first #1 contender out of the gate thanks to yours truly putting this at the top of his list. I would be joined by taylor in the final stretch with castleoblivion26 also putting this inside his top 5. I'm pleasantly surprised to see this do as well as it did as its long been my favorite of Alan's if not for very personal reasons. While it wasn't a rainy day, I remember all too well that summer day in June when I (age 7) lost my father who was just turning 40. This is a song I always reach for when that time comes around as it encompasses all of the range of emotions I still feel from losing him at such a young age.
