I wonder if Luke’s team is gonna try again or if they’ll decide to hang up the hat. If it’s the latter, Cole Swindell just did what I honestly started to think would never happen. It’s extraordinary. I wish it was with a different song because this one happens to be miles better than most of what he’s ever put out to radio, but this is an accomplishment that I’d be very proud of. No, this was it for Luke. Cole's song actually has its push week(s) starting now. Also I'm fairly certain my radio station contributed heavily to this result. I don't think I've heard Luke's song even once (which is a massive upset, since they usually play him three times an hour), and I've constantly heard Cole's song

Probably even longer, if it's ever happened at all, since Faith Hill & Lonestar had crossover airplay with theirs as well. I wouldn't be surprised if it's actually never happened tbh. I don’t think Taylor’s re-released song got much non-country airplay, not sure about “fancy like”, but I don’t think that was mostly about airplay (basically I don't think non-country airplay was the reason those two songs were in the top 10, but I could also be wrong) "Fancy Like" maybe didn't *need* the crossover airplay to hit the top 10, but it was absolutely there nonetheless. It went top 10 on HAC and peaked in the mid-teens on CHR and AC as well.

I would have to make sure because it’s been that long, but I believe the last time a song spent multiple weeks at #1 on Mediabase and none on Billboard Country Airplay was January of 2008 (“Stay” by Sugarland).

This song actually dropped by 0.274m audience on Billboard while SHMAHC gained 1.088m audience. The gap is 1.432m.

It's very off that the song that breaks the streak is his 2nd top 10 hit. Good for Cole Swindell though.

This lost over 100 spins today on MB and lost 192k in audience while Cole gained 57 spins and 559k in audience, so it is looking more likely that this song is done. If it is, I'll echo everyone else and say I'm surprised that this is the song that's going to snap his BB #1 streak. It went top 10 on the Hot 100 without crossover airplay which is impressive (the fact that "You Proof" did so at the same time is even more impressive for the country genre as a whole) so this song definitely was a win for him but I can't say I'm not disappointed at this missing #1 on BB when all his other singles went #1.
Edit: Just saw the thank you ad in this week's Country Aircheck too, it's done.

Edit: I have heard this song on radio, it just apparently made little impression on me and I didn’t realize it was Luke’s song. My impression from this morning, it’s fine but forgettable

It stinks that Luke’s #1 streak on billboard airplay is over, but at least his overall #1 streak (billboard/mediabase) is still going. At the end of the day when talking about Luke’s career, this will still be thought of and promoted as a #1 song. George Strait get mentioned as having “60” #1s, even though only 44 of them went #1 on billboard

This may have ended his #1’s streak but he still has the 3 biggest hits of the decade on BB so far using Joel Whitburn’s method of ranking the songs. “Forever After All” #1 for 6 weeks, “Better Together” #1 for 5 weeks and “Lovin’ On You” #1 for 4 weeks (Cole could pass this one possibly).

Looks like "Going, Going, Gone" is the next single from 'Growin' Up' as the song was just played surprisingly on Today's Country on Music Choice and is new to the station.

What's even crazier about this breaking the BB streak is that it flew up the airplay charts - it seemed inevitable. I suppose some additional consolation is it's predicted to return to the H100 Top 10 with only County airplay. I'm guessing there are no plans to promote it to other formats.
